Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostSad to say there won't be any king of cellphones with everything.
It is part of marketing, you have to make you phone short of a few features so you can make a better one and release it.
That way you can sell two phones instead of one.(Upgrading)
Just like iphone releasing the non 3G version first.
That's why you can never have a perfect phone. >.<

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsStill, it's nice to have a phone that has atleast the technologies of the current generation. :P With the idea of your phone lasting for a few years.
The m8 (same story with iphone) are making a sin by not putting 3g in their release. It's worse with the m8 though, cause 2nd version 3g-iphone will be out around the same time as the 3g-less-m8.

Will this phone work in the New York Area with T-mobile?

"Apple did not patent multitouch, in fact they can't since the hardware isn't invented by them."
I agree. But I believe Apple's patent is the firmware that makes the response to the multitouch hardware though. Hope Meizu can devise that part on their firmware.
But wait. Meizu's firmware is open-source, right?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYou have misunderstood this, and obviously you've never worked in the industry such as production plants of mobile devices. Fact is with the rapid development of technology the models are "old" before they make it out, there are numerous of changes and additions to devices due to this prior to release, and sometimes such additions creates even further delays.
The issue about never have the perfect phone is a combination of the above and the fact that companies who develop and manufacture phones (not always the same for one and the same model) are in it to make a profit, and also have to take into account that at the end of a models lifespan it will be sold at a significantly lower price, but the goal is to still make a profit, so all this (and A LOT more factors) have to be taken into consideration.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYou agree?? This is not a matter of taste or opinion it's a matter of FACT!
Also please don't confuse PATENTs and the OWNER OF A PATENT, anyone can use something that is Patented if they pay for it, just as Apple is doing with the screen.
For patented technology used in the iPhone see this list:

Since when did any of MS' Windows products become open-source? The Meizu runs Win CE, it's not runing LINUX!Last edited by ecsk2; 11-08-2007 at 04:47 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIt will work on ANY GSM network in the world, as long as its an unlocked version (which my guess will be that it will be for the most part) now it will MOST LIKELY NOT work with Tmo USA's upcoming 3G network, so to put that in everyday terms it will be able to do data at EDGE speeds only, just like the so much praised iPhone...which also doesn't do anything faster than EDGE.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsPatents really have NOTHING to do with HARDWARE, you can "sit" on a patent (and some do!) for ages without having a single actual product in real life!
If you wan to read more about Apple's patent around the multitouch you can read here: http://www.unwiredview.com/2007/01/1...ed-by-patents/

Yes I am familiar (and have owned) most HTC devices along with the Touch, and most other touchscreen Windows Mobile devices.

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostI know what you mean, and usually the dumbest delay for the release date is the authorization like safety levels etc.
Which is maybe why meizu released the non 3g version first like iphone, cause 3g usually takes longer for approval.
This looks interesting, for WM haters XD

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI don't really want more fake pictures, I want to see pictures of actual proto types, or at least scraps of metal and chips which fit together into an m8 with a wild stretch of the imagination.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postswell, this new render is clearer to look at.
It does look a lot like the iTouch btw, especially with the way they placed that M-button at the bottom. Jubre's right though, where is the model pic?!?

I just wanna follow up on the price That Some people complain about.. Myself included... I can agree with the fact the product is cheap..
But the thing is that the only differance between the models is capacity and meizu charges a premium for just the extra capacity... NAND flash chip prices are not that exspensive nowadays.Click the little (+/-) button next to someone to reward or punish someone

Good find. Was just about to post it. I'm a bit worried that the screen resolution is too high...
