First of all - what is all the rumor about. I thought the m8 gonna have three hard buttons - not a single one? So I guess the picture is a fake - again. Please correct me if I am wrong.
...
China is copying - ok - but please realize: What are they copying. It is nothing crucial - it is a design, and not even the original one.
BUT: It is not easy to assemble parts together - with high qualtity. That is s.th. I want to spend money on.
Your post is long and with some bad words ... but the content is very interesting.
Lots of people here are spent time idolizing a product of a company (Apple) that have devoted all his time to recollect technology from all parts of the world mainly Europe and China to create stuff which more important value is the ability to put all together and do a really effective wash brain thru marketing campaigns reselling things that we have see for long time in other products.
The overrated iPhone is nothing more than a joint of a limited MP4, a basic PDA, and a cell phone, all wrapped in a beautiful package, and offered to the impressionable people of the land of consume: USA (first thousand stolen in US$ 200), tied with lots of limitations as normally do Apple with all their products.
Compared with iPhone the project M8 is lots of steps ahead is enough to compared features. I will mention just two: FM radio and GPS. I don't like this kind of artefacts: all in one, normally none of the parts functions at its best, but M8 is an interesting attempt, and from that perspective I read about it.
And about Chinese "copies", "clones" and all the words that USA followers have coined, it's just the impotences to compete with a country whose costs have allow all the world to enjoy the benefits of technologies. But that's all past, every day we see how new technologies arises coming from China.
Happily iPod lovers are vanishing in the air, and are normally the kind of users that aren't aware of what's new and interesting in this world of portables gadgets.

I want to see the M8 before i'm going to be praising it. Die hard M8 fans are just as brainwashed as Apple fans are.
The people that can't afford an iPhone or hate Apple's limitations are so fixated on hating apple that they praise any competition to heaven. Meizu, which has managed to keep people waiting for an entire year with still no release date upcoming, is getting the omgjezus-better-than-apple-STAMP for it's M8. Dammit, people are already comparing the specsheet of M8 versus iPhone and using that as evidence that Meizu rocks Apple of the planet. Dear readers, all these things mean NOTHING of the product doesn't EXIST. 3G was scraped off the first release, Wifi isn't as sure as it used to be; our current information about the m8 means nothing!
If you still think you aren't prejudiced; if Apple did the same thing, announcing the iPhone, releasing renders throughout the year creating high hopes, and delaying without release date forever you would be happily bashing them to the ground. I don't understand why some people can put up with all of this. I guess that's the soul of being a Meizu fan; blinded by hope
This is just my opinion after a year of waiting with high hopes, surfing trough screen after screen, checking Meizume very often for a sprinkle of news. And trust me, i'm no Apple fan. I never even owned an iPod.

When was wi-fi ever a sure thing? They never had a specific release date other than "around the end of 2007". What's not to get excited about the M8? We've seen prototypes, so I doubt this just just "vaporware" or "renderings". If Apple did that regarding the iPhone, then people would have every right to bash them. They are one of the largest companies in the world, while Meizu is small and does not have as good as of a financial status as Apple.
Many companies do not have a financial status as good as Apple, but for some reason can still deliver their products "reasonably" on time. No, we've only seen photoshop renderings and 1 plastic dummy; I'm not saying it's vapourware, just that it's getting close to it.
Yeah, the fact that they never bothered with a specific release date is what's bothering me......

Wait... where were you when we posted the motherboards?
Haha, seems i forgot about the great motherboards.
Still, we have less than a prototype. After an entire year of waiting.
And all my previous arguments still count.
I have to agree with you that this is taking longer than normal, but I guess I have more patience than other people and will wait for a possibly superior phone.
Update: One new picture of the black Meizu M8 Mini One has been released and can be found at page 12 of this article. (11-09-2007)
It's official. As it currently stands, the Meizu M8 Mini One is now black. Full renders as well as a real life model has been made, but pictures won't publicly released without the consent of Mr. J Wong. If history is an indicator, we should see them within a few days.
Apart from sporting a new darker look, the M8 has had its screen updated, now featuring a 3.4-inch LCD, up from the previous 3.3".
The most recent price for the Meizu Mini One M8 are 1990/2390/2990 CNY (approx. 265/320/400 $USD) for models 4/8/16 GB.
