I would be a bit worried about the software. This thing must be much more complicated than the M6 which they still (1 year on market) havent been able to make bugfree. Sad to say it but i think the Iphone-software will be alot more stable, and have better support overall.
There's way more resources on the web for Win based pocket devices than there is for the iPhone.
. The M8 will supposedly have a removable battery. The iPhone doesn't. If you want the iPhone's battery replaced, that's over $100. .
Lets stick to the facts shall we?
Non removable battery gives thinner device, and in fact the iPhone battery is removable just not INTENDED to be by the consumer, there are now 3rd party batteries hitting the market: http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/31/i...t-kit-appears/
this is really big news, but a bit sad bout it not being 3G,still its an awsome fone, but im still thinking of getting the 16GB,will wait and c the reviews bout it wen it comes out
but does nyone know when,is it still supposed to be released at the end of this year and then the 16GB version later on in 2008?

Why insist on making FALSE STATEMENTS when the FACTS are just a GOOGLE search away!??
Sorry, for some reason I thought it was $100. I guess I was only $15 off. Yes you can get that kit, but that voids your warranty when you open it. And who wants to change out the battery when your other battery is dead when you can just take one out and pop the other one in like the M8? Yes it does make it thinner, but not by much. I think most people would prefer a traditional removable battery and have it a little bit thicker.

Well if you want a 3rd party battery you can have it for $20.
The non traditional removable battery hasn't made the iPods less popular, they are still the most popular and well known MP3 player nevertheless.
Trust me it is more convinient to not have to carry multiple batteries, the iPhone is in fact with such battery time that you really don't need a 2nd battery.
Definitely,J.W said M8W the WCDMA edition will be 500CNY more than the M8 2.5G edition.now with the removed front cam back for video call.it will be more than 500CNY.

Yes, but there is a difference. Almost all phones have a removable battery. The iPhone doesn't. I know a lot of people who use their phone a lot and they carry extra batteries. And when your original battery runs down all you have to do is pop the replacement in. You don't have to open up your phone and void the warranty.
Like I have said over and over again you get what you pay for
BTW those batteries that have overheated and exploded recently have all been OEM batteries!
In my opinion, I believe that most of them are OEM batteries, but when you think of it there are more OEM batteries out there than 3rd-party batteries. I still believe that most 3rd party batteries are cheap and poorly designed.

Just shows that these types of devices are still developing The fact that a lot of people do something doesn indicate that its the ideal solution, many people drive without their seatbelt on too
No need to void the warranty if you send it in, its not like Apple did this to tease its customers, there are reasons for it!

Obviously you're not very familiar with the mobile phone battery industry, there is a lot more non OEM batteries than OEM ones!
I think Meizu is trying very hard to outshine the iPhone in every way possible, and in the meantime found themselves using too much high-end resources... leading to the increase in price and decrease in performances.
I don't know... personally it is hard to say, I have waited for the M8 for ages, the specs seem awesome, but now that the prices are out, I might have second thoughts. Any word on the release of the other versions of the M8?
PS: does the iPhone have a glass screen? and does the M8 have a glass screen?
