    Explain...
From what I heard it SHOULD support European connectivity.
It was not on the native design, being only gsm+ThatOtherCineseNetwork, but since then it has changed.
At least that's what a german site was saying... (and I pray for it to be true :D)

it is unclear at this stage what kind of distribution this device will recieve. It is also still unclear about whether models released outside of China will have cell phone capabilities. I am hoping that some reliable chinese based online store such as www.houseofdap.com will stock the phone version. It must be noted however due to the fact the M8 comes equipped with a number of different forms of connectivity, this will affect import tax and distribution charges. Hence why the dane-elec m6's do not have the fm tuner function enabled.

    clarification

I've been following some of these products, especially the M8 and the Deeda Pi. Will the M8 be available in the U.S.? I am a huge Apple fanboy, but I don't have the money, nor will I give up 175 to break my contract with Sprint. There are a lot of us over here who have the same reservations with getting an Iphone. It would be great if the M8 were available for Sprint/Nextel and Verizon. There is a huge segment of the U.S. that will be cut off from getting an Iphone, so come on Meizu, throw us a bone!

YES!!! I see it clearly now. It's completely different from the iphone. DUH...how could anyone say it's a rip-off?! I mean the touch screen, the dimensions, the cabinet and even the interface is os exactly like....sorry...I mean NOTHING like iphone.

So no, it's not an iPhone - it couldn't be.
Lol? Windows only! Do you know how they meessed up firmware on m6 that had quite nice hardware inside so with windows it can be usefull.

Unfortunately, since Verizon and Sprint do not support phones that utilize SIM cards (which this one probably will) it will not work on their network. Probably only Cingular and T-Mobile.

some more info to keep us all on the edge of out seats........1 thing's for sure, this definitely shows what kind of margin apple's gonna make when they sell their iPhone (which is going further and further down in my book.....)
