[project]Port android to meizu M8

i know this question has been raised before and i apologise in advance for my probablle inept stupidity but hwat is the deal with the accelorometer i mean it works so isnt it just a matter of configuring the perameters to get it to rotate the right way?

can anyone tell me how to edit the mdroid images files i noticed that some have managed to pre install app files and im wondering how i would go about the same

HI, this time I am going to test:


1 have: xip.bin + mpatch.img
2 Mdroid.img

But when there is a new version like a7, what should be done? Should I have to replace?

When can I access the memory on the M8 on Android??

you should be able to keep the old mdroid.img but you will have to flash a new xip.bin and copy the new patch.img to the /Disk folder.

I tried it, but I have first to desactivate the pin, but, Mmobile is in chinese and won't switch to english. I have chosen it in "settings", but it's still in chinese.
I will have to swith to another firmware first.

I've got a problem with Android. I've installed it correctly. Then it works good.
But a few minutes ago I've done a restart. The problem is that it wants to start but it only trys to boot and cannot start android. It only shows the commands. I cannot turn the mobile off because the keys do not react...

What can i do? Any suggestion?

Take out yor battery, start it in WinCE... And replace the mdroid.img
It should do the trick.. had the same problem a couple of times

try to reinstall the FW+ Android!

Meizu released some sources, alpha releases are in the wild but there is no such thing as a 'release date' since every developer that works on this does it in his spare time and only his ambition (no payment) to drive him.

I am just asking myself loudly, where the author has the information from, who said something about September and why?

it would indeed be interesting to know on what info that assumption is based.
Probably someone mentioned that development would take 'at least two more month' or something like that.
I dont think we will ever get a real releasdate more specific then 'i will try to implement a patch for xxxx next the weekend, will make a new release if it works'.

as of july 14th i was able to get android running quite nicely on my meizu m8

year baby! m8s got android now and with sound and can call and send messages too

currently an expat living in china and was able to get most working fine including games and motion
