Thanked 138 Times in 53 PostsLast days i focused more on the baseband than on the wlan. This was because what would be a phon which cants be used as phone...
But it still seems that the baseband is disabled and needs to be activated in someway to act as a modem...
I think this is done through one of the gpio lines but we
1) cant just bruteforce then to find the right one
2) dont have any documentation about this....
I think i will look at the adresses from the gpio registers and will have a look if i can find asm command in the files which seems to be gpio commands.
maybe i can find the activiate signal

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Postsr3wDy,
nobody can blame you on that ;-)
Did you by any chance tried usbnet yet?
btw maybe this could provide any hints on wlan/baseband activation?
ive tried to download the package myself but it seems a low speed download connection so i cancelled it after a few hours
to all,
you might noticed (or not) that i added WinCe 0.9.3.90 dual boot package to page 1
Not tested it cause i cant for now but i am sure it will run out of the box.
ps, i noticed a typo in the dualboot howto document, i added in the text "Zimage" twice instead of "once Zimage and once xip.bin", however the pictures show the right stuff so it is not a big deal that you wouldnīt know yourself.
i will updated it asap when i have some time :-)

Thanked 138 Times in 53 Postsiw ill get the sources an see my self. thankyou

Which one to use best? 32 and patch samsung stuff innit
or
29 and patch just the things we need (eg spi support) int)+
PS
i once dled the samsung handy stuff... these are kernel sources / source from apps an patches. (the fact that they are plit in stock kernel sources and patches to get them to samsung work can be very good for us @ banxian so we can see als the changes)
But we need to know which mobile form them is most m8 like, special to the wlan and the baseband chip.
unfortunately its hard to find hardware infos of themLast edited by r3wDy; 11-29-2009 at 12:15 PM.

Thanked 138 Times in 53 PostsHum
i know i cant decide what to do but....
the 5700 has an 27 kernel an in this kernel there is a 6400 spi driver which seems to meet the kernel structure of our running kernel....
i will try to compile this kernel in our "old" envirioment and see
But unfortunately there are no interesting spi device in the 5700 but i will have a search after the baseband
5700s spi driver works to compile but is a gpio/bitbang driver....
i will try it but i dont see a sense in connecting a wlan card to a slow gpio/spi when two highspeed spi ports are avaliable...
but i will give it a shotLast edited by r3wDy; 11-29-2009 at 07:58 PM.

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Postsguys, i added the git to page 1.
r3wdy you mean the 5700 as in the samsung spicia-something?
Cause there are still some similar devices we can have a look onto ?
Btw i noticed in a log that the 27 kernel should contain support for audio /wlan by default for m8se not sure though..
**still canīt do much cause my replacement is still on his way :@**

Thanked 138 Times in 53 Postsi ment 7500 galaxy as this is a android phone with the same cpu.
Im still searching, there is no fast progress right now. The problem is a) the spi does not work and b) the baseband does not work :/
This really sucks because all we can do is investigating every single smasung phone source and see if we can find any usable stuff innit...

Thanked 113 Times in 35 PostsI works hard on a database tools for our game planner this week.
They reported lots of bugs and new feature request.
When I return to this thread I found it's weekend now.
I've lost interest of mmc hand debugging now.
I'll try to add uart debug support in ce6 bsp to check how my custom build ce6 failed to start.
