Thanked 189 Times in 130 Poststhanks for confirming!
owenray, i added the mirror link to post 1.
about the ftp, i will come back on that one later cause ...
I was thinking, if i find time next monday i will start to download all firmware packages (the original ones - no leaks) then merge them with tinyloader and uploading to rapidshare.com with my premium account,
then mirroring them on your host, next i could edit post 1 to have a cleaner and more simplified look with stable links?
example how it would look:
but before i spend all my time in it, are people interested in it if i will do this and can everyone download from rapidshare.com or owenrays host??WinCe Firmware M8 series:
fw 0.9.2 - - original (mirror) - - dualboot (mirror)
fw 0.9.3 - - original (mirror) - - dualboot (mirror)
...
ilian, in which terminal you mean?

Thanked 113 Times in 35 Posts6410 fb drivers is totally faked by c110 in samsung maintained branch... and those drivers directory itself faked in kernel org release.
tonight I merged s3c framabuffer n lcd into android-2.6.29.
[2.6.29-google-s3cfbmerge.diff]
but problem is still "Warning: unable to open an initial console."
I'm go to sleep now. maybe its not caused by smdk internal framebuffer yesterday.
I don't think samsung branch is a good base to start porting now...Last edited by banxian; 11-20-2009 at 08:25 PM.

Thanked 10 Times in 10 Postsevow04:
i think there is work to do wich is more importent. good people like you should not waste there time for this.
everybody who is "playing" with android is not using his/her handy for everyday.
i dont think that we need all combinations. if someone wants to test anroid he can install it. if someone wants to test leak firmwares he can install it.
upgrading takes onlay 5 minutes.
please let it be. we need your skills to reach our plans

Thanked 13 Times in 8 Postswell my initial idea was.. that everyone on the android team who wants to share stuff.. can upload it on my server.. it's a whole lot faster then rapidshare or mediafire..
so in that case it will save time..
----
@evow04: I've mirrored your other link too: http://dropbox.inventiv3.com/dualboot_fw_0938.zip
----
I've tried the dualboot on my white 16gb, and it works like a charm:DLast edited by owenray; 11-20-2009 at 11:42 PM.

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Poststhanks banxian,
did you allready tried some other kernels from other S3C6410 dev boards?
since the aesop kernel seems to do well i think we´d better stick with it?
btw i would like to come back on the usbnet.
i found this source and this patch , one might try and see if it would run.
If it does, i was thinking that we could lanch an rc 4 version of android with the previous patches you made concerning the powerplan and other?
great you found it!Never mind... google knows everything...
BPM, you are right but it isnt that much work to do. Mpack is just great to patch them , and uploading takes about 30 minutes, so can do when i am at work ;-)
One will notice if i found time to do it ;-)
thanks owenray! i will add the links as mirror to post 1 ;-)

Thanked 113 Times in 35 PostsI condition commented some change related to aesop borad.
and I patched more than 30 files today. but MMC detect is still faild.
eg: mmc\core, card, host, include, setup-sdhci, dma-pl080c, some reg header.
the startup log looks most same as 2.6.27-m8 except dma controller regs_base.
aesop: DMA controller : 0 irq 73 regs_base d080c000
m8-bill: DMA controller : 0 irq 73 regs_base cd000000
S3C_PA_DMA is same in header. I don't think ioremap'ed address can take effect in MMC detect but I can only look deeper into these difference now.
another difference is change_clock.
mmc detected after the second log.Code:selected source 0, clock 519531, delta 0 selected source 0, clock 20000000, delta 3375000
aesop only have first line durning startup.Last edited by banxian; 11-22-2009 at 04:20 PM.

Thanked 10 Times in 10 Postsi am not able to make a video with one m8 from the other.
the phone only looks like a mirror and you can only see me and the second meizu.
but i think it is not important because there are no differenz between the 8GB video and things that i can show.

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Postsbpm, no problem thanks for trying;-)
banxian,
have no idea why i am sorry, my skills are not allways that great :s
i am suspecting that some change is missing in the new kernel you are trying?
And can i ask you,
i am about to try and compile a mer kernel (git) with s3c6410 support using the generic armel rootfs. If i have the compiled kernel (zimage) can i add it without any troubles using mpack to a xip or do i need to keep something in mind to be able to load it?
btw, are there any other chinese bbs forum members helping on android?

I will have a look at the webserver right now, for the wiki and stuff. The data is not lost.
I coul dnot get the smansung kernel to compile right now but i hadnt had that much timt to try... im working on it
How much operating systems do you need on a telephone?? i need excatly one and the dualboot is just interesting while developing to use the phone. Why dualboot if we can have quad-boot?
Why should we put energy in such a thing if we havnt got a wlan or the badeband chip running.
Btw baseband. I did some research on this. I you swtich the COM port mux0710 useses in the windows reg and restarts the phone, it does not start anymore. i think this is because it cabnt initlitalize th emodem. I will try to connectect a terminal to com2 and ste it to com2 maybe i can trace which commands are sent to the modem to init it.
But i fear we need to enable it with a gpio pin or so and those infos are ahrd to findLast edited by r3wDy; 11-24-2009 at 08:11 AM.
