Thanked 138 Times in 53 Postsoki loading of hspi driver worked, i get two spi buses but this isnt the right kind of driver... htis gives me two /dev/spi devices but thats not what i want i want a s3c spi busmaster driver to load my libertas:spi driver. It so that the busmaster driver loads the driver for his slaves, but this driver doesnt even register as busmaster nor it tries to load any drivers....
hum will try to compile and load the 24xx busmaster driver maybe it worx

Thanked 138 Times in 53 PostsFirst: i think we should make a thread for developing and one for testing.... the last 10 pages are nearly complete "hoe can i install...." questions... this is the dev thread.
Im dont want to offense someone, but i cant nearly see what i self wrote, how should someone who need this info find it?
So please someone create a new thread for such things. thx
Second:
Youre right with that. But GPIO means 3 or 4 lines to transfer data and spi means 3 or 4 lines to transfer data. The s3c6410 has seperate spi channels and seperate gpio channels. One can simulate spi over gpio (hence its nearly the same) but if our wlan is connected to one of the dedicated spi ports we just wont reach it. I just compiled the driver into the kernel and will see what happens...lol i thought it was listed as a spi driver over gpi
My understanding od spi subsystem is:
One defines which spi devices are on the board. this is done in a struct and compiled in the kernel. there is also stated which drivers to use. When you load now the master driver, all of these defined devices will get their drivers loaded. Just then, because i think the master driver is the trigger (maybe he loads them self but i cant see that in code).
But when i load the hspi_s3c64xx driver, i can see that it gets loded but no one ove the other drivers i defined (wlan and a test device) gets probed (i did a printk message in them) they loaded an nothing. no probe for hardware hence the driver subsystem thinks there is no need to load them (because this bus driver doenst register as master) i will see if the spi over gpio driver reigsesters as master

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsNot to mess up the forum, so you can't read your own post, but i have to say that wlan would be very nice in android!
The next steps would be 'disk' recognise and phone function
Then android is nearly ready.(bluetooth/mic function for headphone are just little unimportant things.......Last edited by LVL; 11-10-2009 at 08:52 PM.

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsMaybe it is an idea to create a new thread with change logs like:
Banxian: creating dualboot
Banxian: testing dualboot
R3wdy: creating Wlan driver
R3wdy: testing Wlan driver
But ofcourse only developers allowed to 'twitter'!
In this way we can make a good vision of the progress.

Thanked 138 Times in 53 PostsA victory shout... lets see what i can do ^^
It seems that the gpio and sip parts of all of the s3c familiy are quite similar. i saw this by comparing registers.
And so i was able to compile the s3c24xx_sip driver in my s3c6410 tree with a little minor changes.
I noticed that in newer kernel some functions which were calles e.c. s3c2410_gpio_set are now calles s3c_gpio_setpin. so translated most of the code to this and i compiled, but i couldnt test it. Has to say nothing, but maybe we finally have a spi driver. i will see tomrorrow..
