Thanked 113 Times in 35 Postsr2 updated 7 hours ago in my post.
r2 also add a nand disk waiting scripts.
if you already have r1, please rename rootfs.img to mdroid.img in upgrade mode, and overwrite r2's xip.bin (kernel) into same place. go update n restart.
r2 kernel in xip.bin format:
Download mdroid_cuptools_r2_xip.zip from SourceForge.net
You may forgot place rom image into M8. or need a soft reset.Welcome to Buildroot

Thanked 113 Times in 35 Postsremove n insert battery, press power+play, get your M8 startup into upgrade mode.
connect M8 with usb cable with your mac.
you'll see a new line MeizuM8 on left of active finder (or a MeizuM8 disk icon on desktop).
navigate into MeizzM8 disk, if there a xip.bin and rootfs.img there, you may used a r1 package.
you must replace it with r2.
get mdroid_cuptools_r2_xip.bz2 from sourceforge and extract xip.bin from it. drop new xip.bin into MeizuM8 in finder, confirm replace. if there no rootfs.img or mdroid.img inside MeizuM8, you need extract from r1 and rename it to mdroid.img, or download and extract mdroid.img from mdroid_cuptools_r2_rootfs.bz2.
you may need stuffitexpander to unpack bz2 archive.
don't drop subfolder into MeizuM8 disk.

Thanked 189 Times in 130 PostsSomeone should really be busy on downloading every data over jtag.
the your phone was most likely fixed in 30 minutes :s
So android finally runs from the upgrade trick ?
is it only in landscape mode for now or?
I removed onenand support too.until we have jtag rescue that is the best way to go!you can disable nandriver if yousacred of destroing something.
btw guys, thanks for the pics and links!
Now i hope i will have my m8 back asap grrrr!
edit :
just like a normal upgrade in FW, enter upgrade menu, copy over xip.bin and follow normal instructions.Last edited by evow04; 10-31-2009 at 04:36 PM.
