This is a discussion on [project]Port android to meizu M8 within the Meizu M8 Android forums, part of the M8 Firmware category; I wouldn't bet anything on it, I'm more and more convinced it's fake One time the clock jumps back one ...

One time the clock jumps back one minute, and before he receives an SMS with the phone turned 90° the display is lit (it should be turned off). I guess he just removed the video player's gui, and maybe recorded the first part of the video backwards
I hope I'm not right though

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Postshi guys,
it would be nice to see that someone created a working android build,
but i am sceptic about it.
Myself i am still researching but i do know forsure that even with a group of 10 developers it will be very hard to get all drivers like sound, bluetooth, touchscreen,.. working without some help from meizu themself (but they refuse to do that so..)
And i also do believe that if it where true, why isnt the web busing about it on meizu bbs and other places? and why isnt there any download link been provided?
So till some people make a real statement about it i do think it is a recorded video or some ui changements from fans.
(But i do hope that i am wrong ;-) )

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsDid not you find several lines under the phone.
I think it was on debugging now.
Android can't run without the support of computer.Or it just use M8 as a touch screen.

Thanked 189 Times in 130 PostsI think you could be right that it is faked by running android on an other system and that they are just using the touchpad and screen as input/output for the m8.
I noticed the huge connector in the first few seconds, and that can not be true on m8.

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Poststhanks yunfan !
i do believe that android for m8 will be an utopia.
Not enough people are working on it , and meizu makes us belive they are not really working on it..
So getting it running will take lots of time

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHardware is good but otherwise it's a failure.
Bought for my wife, I like the design and the big screen but software wise it could be flushed from toilet.
I have iphone 3gs and would buy Meizu M8 3G 16GB if they would but android in it.
But for now it feels like beta device.

Thanked 189 Times in 130 PostsHard to say,
cause at the end it is just a company that is trying to make money and does not need to listen to its customers.
But a good company does it, certainly if you developped a new product.

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostThe best possible thing they could do to fix this is to release it with Android. It would solve almost all of their software issues, and customers would probably be more happy. Not to mention we wouldn't have to wait several months just to get our basic functions to work...
Apart from this; it's really sad we do not have many hardware engineers at this forum to help out evow04. Thanks, it's great you keep on even though we all have a hard time helping you.

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsMaybe Meizu doesn't see the importance of android on the M8.
Maybe we need to make a sort of petition to get Meizu listening, but we will need chinese people spreading the word to the chinese forum's on bbs.meizu.com and ??? - ??M8????.
We should make one BIG question:
If you could choose between the current Firmware or a Android Firmware, which one would you choose?
We should make a poll.
I am going to start a poll right now to get this thing started, Meizu does not listen to us!!!Ben je Nederlands?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsMeizu is developping android for M8 and M9t ,But with its own UI like WinCE. Everyone know it now ,so little people talk about it.
The comming android has the same UI to winCE 6.0 ,the new UI.
I'd like Meizu use ophone supplied by China Mobile in M9t. No OS supply TD-SCDMA now except ophone, which is based on android .
With the great support by China Mobile, ophone will be succced.
