Thanked 3 Times in 3 PostsI am downloading the files now, but, according to what I read, the "new" mdroid.img is smaller, for it seems they withdrew the alternate languages to let only Chinese. I read there is a way to add a basic english interface with "morelocale" (http://www.meizume.com/modding-devel...tml#post129332).
It would be just a shame that they just decide to give up on other language. If they do that (and have the right since they are Chinese and work for themselves), it would just simply put apart the international community from using android fully. It would be like a "sorry pals we don't give support for other countries".
I don't want to be rude, but it's just what I felt when reading it. I am just disappointed after all this time hoping for android to see it's going Chinese only...
I do hope our Chinese friend won't go that way, simply for I don't know, "global meizu owner friendship"...
If not, well we get back to old WinCE, with few software translated and a much lesser interest.
Please eoc and team, do not let us down. Please.Last edited by Lothar; 07-26-2010 at 12:55 AM.

i hope the developer community find a way of enabling the Android market as the slideme app store only features a small amount of apps and the unofficial store on A8.1 is only in chinese, i know people are going to say just search for apps and drop them on to SD but what about official apps like facebook widgets, youtube and adobe flash player surely with the adroid operating system being open source the android market must be available to us someway i find it hard to believe that google would release the os for free and then not provide a way for small scale companys to be able to access?

Thanked 26 Times in 18 PostsIt's exactly the same for me. Unless there is music playing, recorder recording, etc. once the screen turns off in MyMobile it won't respond to anything and I have to remove the battery. I'm glad it isn't specific to my M8, though. If it wasn't for the 6 hour battery life on Android I would be using it full time now.

Thanked 189 Times in 130 PostsWhen i think about that, I am starting to feel that the LBE Team wants to make some money out of this.Letīs wait for now, it sound logic that uploading a bigger data file to a shared source is harder for our chinese friends then for us, so iīm sure once there is a real stable image they will upload it for us so have some patience.they just want to minimize the size of the image because it is a beta version now.if include all sort of language..the size of the image will increase to the previous size.5xxmb.That is not a good idea to upload or download..
If not, we can port our own tree on the sourceīs that are coming available.patrickmeizume, do you have the market icon on the desktop ? if so, try the market tool i provided in the other post to avoid operator limitations.still no market, has to be a provider that has got rights... my vodafone sim doesn't work
sorry i donīt try it myself, but iīm not installing test FW anymore untill there is a real stable release with usefull functions.
Iīve posted some links in the forum to specific appīs like youtube, you might want to install those for now, but some might not work well.facebook widgets, youtube and adobe flash player
edit, some screens from sepa a8.1:

I had no trouble with Opera Mini 5.1. Download it from opera.com and install via Linda File Manager.

Thanked 25 Times in 22 PostsHello,
I really want to test Android but i have two problems.
First : I don't have reception, Android ask my pin code but after nothing in the reception bar.
Second : I would try to make a dual boot with the Russian Firmware, it seems to work but impossible to run android.
Last question : When they launch a new version of android, just replace the mdroid.img whith the new one or we must do a new dual boot again
Any suggestions.
Thank's.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsforgive not every country and every network does not disable pin you down on the blanket. This is not a solution to the problem of such practices apply the Orange network in Poland.
