HR mGinger Release 1

As promised, the first release of HR mGinger Android ROM. This will for now be the final version as I want to take a look at running Android from different files systems.

How to install:
- Boot your M8 into Upgrade Mode and plug in the USB-cable
- Copy the folder 'LBE_Android' and the 2 files 'xip.bin' and 'Enable Keyboard.apk' to the Disk of your device
- After copying is done, disconnect the USB-cable and pres 'Upgrade'
- Boot into Mymobile first
- You can now boot into Android
- Install 'Enable Keyboard.apk' using ES FileManager

Features:
- 0.9.9.95 800MHz dual-boot
- Gingerbread UI
- Partly MIUI based
- Very cool boot animation
- Hosts file replaced (some apps show no more ads so they run a bit faster)
- The keyboard is the free version of SwiftKey
- Control volume by pressing the M button and the volume keys at the same time

Bugs:
- No ROOT access (has not really a point on a Squash file system)
- Can't integrate keyboard

Nice work, i will try it, but what FW did you used for this releas? Now I got 9.9.95...

Sorry forgot to mention, it's 0.9.9.95 800MHz.

Shortly, is the installation process similar to A13.5 firmware? I don't get the part about booting M8 into Upgrade Mode and copying data the same time

Yes it's the same. Just make sure you boot into Mymobile first. Otherwise you will get Android corrupted error.

How is the WIFI funktion , withe this version .

No, I wasn't able to integrate. You can use AppsLib or other 3rd party market.

I didn´t have android from 12a or somethin´ but this is really good looking UI... Not so smooth but practikal... one question, how I open keyboard? I cann´t write anything?

Install 'Enable Keyboard.apk' using ES FileManager, click on the 'SwiftKey' icon in the apps menu and follow the setup wizard.

hmm nice work but live wallpapers don't work too, and i am saying great job but is there anything that can be done about galery it is so slow and what about stock google apps?? thx again

This is a good version but nikola92 is right, galery doesn't work...

By the way, Android market is now on the web : http://market.android.com/ so you can use it that way

can somebody explaine me how i set the apn..?? there comes nor "add new Apn.. and inet wouldn`t work...

I'm working on a faster M9UI ROM with ext2 msys.img, integrated keyboard and fast image gallery.

I'm also trying to make a stock 2.2 with ext3, ext4 or YAFFS2 file system.

I am noob when it comes to programing but I am studing it on university, but wouldn't 2.1 android be better option. Since this one is slow. But I would really like MIUI rom complete version for M8. When we can expect ur new release?

No, 2.2 or higher are the faster Android versions.

Are you sure that 2.2 is faster than 2.1?
I mean, sure for good ported roms its true.
But I think the Kernel 2.6.29 was made for 1.6?! Correct me if i am wrong.
So, we need at first the port of 2.6.36 until 2.2 and higher is faster than the 1.6 version, right?
