Thanked 1,049 Times in 391 PostsObvious answer: when it's ready for public use.
I read something that one of the developer is on a business trip for a week and he cannot work on it so probably this will take a longer time. I would say 1-2 weeks tops.

Thanked 1,049 Times in 391 PostsI've read there's going to be another breakthrough, and that might refer to a post where one of the developer said the standby mode is working now (so it won't drain the battery as fast when the screen is turned off).

^ Just download the .apk file to your computer from their website launcherpro[dot]com. I had a post a couple of days ago on how to remove the default LauncherPro app, but it's somewhere. Basically you just have to uninstall the old version, boot up, and while it's hanging on boot, connect the usb and push the new apk to the phone using adb.

I always get the message that the "application (is) not installed" when trying to update LauncherPro. Anyone with the same problem or even a solution hint?

I even can't uninstall the previous version (uninstall button is grayed).
Edit: LauncherPro is not availible for M8s in the Market, i tried to install a apk file manually. Also i wasn't successful in connecting the phone to my Win7 x64 system for ADB connections
So there's no other way of installing it.

Launcherpro is in the systemfolder and when you have no Superuser permission you can´t uninstall of the normal way, only over ADB-Commands.
And when not all Apps availible in market from M8 is a google-problem...I read in another Android-Forums that many people see no more there buyed apps after upgrading to Android 2.2...
When you wan´t see more apps then use the Emulator, integrated in the sdk tools search for a Image with market and you can browse over the emulator to the market and download your files what you want, upload to dropbox - download to your meizu..

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHello, a little bit of a noob-ish question, probably, but still: Is there a way to boot M8 android into the recovery mode/console? I need to flash the phone with a specific file and the readme says that i will need a "recovery console" to do that? How do I do that on M8? Thanks in advance and sorry if this question was already asked before

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsCan't boot into Android
I'm trying to install FW 0.9.9.18 (dao89 n450) Dualboot LBE A10.1 Android 2.2. It boots up in mmobile just fine but when I choose android it just gives me a bunch of scolling white tiny text to fast to make out anything then just hangs on a blank screen. Itried to flash about three times and repacked dualboot files. Please Help.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYes. I ran MPack using M8TinyLoader, zImage and the xip. Then I put the newley created bin file and the mdroid.img in my /disk then ran the upgrade. I see you are using the same firmware. Mind if I ask what steps did you take? Thanks.
P.S. I'm also using the M8Patch_a8.img if that makes a difference.

Thanked 200 Times in 145 Postsdont modify the downloaded firmware.
You only need to monify it if you use a a stock firmware.
(like 0.9.9.17 directly from the meizu download)
the n450 i uploaded here somewhere is already made into dual boot firmware as is the 0.9.9.17 that comes with the package no further patching is required.Meizu M8 SE - FW 0.9.9.18 (dao89 n450) Dualboot LBE A11 Android 2.2

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThat sounds like the problem. So all I need is the n450 xip.bin and mdroid.img, correct?

Thanked 200 Times in 145 Postsyes, all you need is the (dual bootifyed '^^) n450 and the mdroid.img
keep in mind that the dualboot firmware must fit the android release (if you find my download link it is the n450 firmware with A10.1 dualboot loader)
The original n450 download is not modifyed. There should be a remark if it is dualboot or not where you download it.
When in doubt install it without modifying it, if it does not show a dualboot menu make it dual boot
