Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsDon't know about app install because I have only tried sense ui, and that didn't work. To avoid the M8 not being detected pull out the USB cable before taking out the battery (reseting your phone), and only plug it in after Android booted up. This way it works for me, and I don't have to install the drivers every time.

Thanked 189 Times in 130 PostsLVL, you mean it is strange that you need to reïnstall it every time?
Take a look at post 1, just added the reason
about installing apps, i am sure that someone will help you ;-)
edit : you could ask jorge_regula? i thought he managed to run and install apps.Last edited by evow04; 11-12-2009 at 06:50 PM.

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsIt is strang, since i let android just boot until the screen 'Your battery has only 15% left', i press ok, plug in the usb cable.
And i get the same mass storage thing.
So if i were you, i would delete that reason
Its not the installing, it seems to be the connection between my M8 and the computer.
I tryed it with multiple computers!
I tryed a vista x64 system(driver from xda, driver does not seem to work, so i focused only on x86 systems)
I tryed my laptop with windows xp x86
And i tryed another pc with windows xp x86.
With that same computers i have to reinstall etc, and then i go to cmd, adb push etc.
Then i look in android: NOTHING. Nothing has been installed.
But the command prompt says just like this message: http://i33.tinypic.com/smaz6e.jpg
I cant figure it out, i tryed a fresh mdroid.img, i reinstalled with a fresh xip.
There is one strange thing also present, the interface in the settings on meizu os seems to corrupt.
On the place were should be standing: WLAN, i get : Settings. And i can't see the WLAN icon like the G for GPRS and E for EDGE.
But when i click on the misplaced 'Settings', i DO get the WLAN menu.
And yes i tryed 5 different cables.
Cable from canon, sweex, meizu, no brand and sony.Last edited by LVL; 11-12-2009 at 07:05 PM.

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsI tryed 'adb shell'
I type 'ls' and i DO information, it seems like i can GET information, but my computer can't SEND anything.(my meizu does not receive anything)
I was so exited to FINALLY have some apps running even though i can't access the 'disk'.
@demon_heart: you have the M8 8GB 'old' version?
Maybe i can get some logic on this problem....
Let me try a different android image, rev2 for example!
Hmm weird, on meizu os, i just tryed to use it as a mass storage device, i could not use it... only activesync works........:'(
Tryed to use it as a mass storage device on vista x64, and it worked, i really can not see any logic in this.......
Has this driver been made for only ONE kind of OS?
Can the people who can actually use the adb, say what they use? (2K, xp, vista, 7)Last edited by LVL; 11-12-2009 at 07:31 PM.

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsI understand, if it logical, but i don't think many would do it in this way, but anyways. Once we have the solution, this question can also have 2 different answers. So thats more hope! xD
Debug seems to be on all the time, can't turn it off....
I can set it to off, then i go back: its still on.....
This hasn't to do with my phone, everybody has the same 'issue'.
Right know i am checking the 'disk' for errors, going to try replacing the mdroid.img with the rev2.
Update: m8 as mass storage device does not work after error checking, although it used to work just fine.....
I also tryed the rev2 mdroid.img! Still no luck......
Anyone who is able to use it, please provide as much information as possible!Last edited by LVL; 11-12-2009 at 08:09 PM.

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsSo you can install apps?
If you can, and if it is not to much to ask.
Can you, skoddi, create a mdroid.img with some apps in it?

I know it takes some time to install all the apps. (about 30 min installing + 20 min uploading)
But can you do this?
Because i would love to see some apps running
