Hello !
first of all sorry about my english.
My question is if somebody tried the brand new speakers of Meizu M6 ?
the quality is good ? (from what you see in the specifications..)
and they stronger enough for listenning in my room? or for listenning with friends when we are in my garden (for example)..
thank you everybody !!

you mean the speakers made by FiiO?
if so then let me tell you, they are awesome
the sound is quite good, not bad for a dock
also, the bass is at the back, but i reckon it is enough
and yes, it will definately be enough for you and your friends in the garden
...about volume 30 on the M6 and max volume on the speaker is pretty loud
it looks good as well
so you should get one! haha~

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsone bad point
when playing the M6 through the speaker it use the M6 battery up - so when battery runs out on M6 you need to charge it again - this can be done by pressing the "AUX" button on the dock, when you do this no sound will be played but the M6 will be in charge mode and you can plug in another device through the line in port on the back.
i thought that the dock would provide power to the M6 when it was docked and playing but it does not
this is the only shortfall in a otherwise excellent speaker and dock

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsdoes not charge whilst playing
No
the dock give NO power at all to the player whilst it is on and playing music.
yes, it is a bad point and a big let down as i wanted to be able to use the combination of player and dock as a home stereo and not have to worry about batteries and charging.
the only time polwer is sent to the player is when you press the "AUX" button - the player is then charging.
the M6 can accept external power supplies, meizus own external battery pack does just this, that can either charge the battery or power the player.
but i still liove it as my player now has a stable home and is not sliding about on my desk

what? it doesn't charge while playing?
thats not exactly convenient!
of course a bigger speaker like the dock drains the battery quickly and should have its own power supply

anyone got some internal pictures of this baby?
it would be cool if you could mod it, so that it charges it as well...
or maybe put a rechargeable lithium ion battery in there...
so that the extra battery can act as the M6 charger
just a thought..

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsi can not comment on the quality of logitech but what yo are comparing are totally differnt.
the logitech are just speakers and i imagine the sound will be better than the dock. but the dock is more than just a speaker.
the dock sound is excellent, and the construction is also excellent. where the dock differs, and becomes more useful is that it will allow you to dock your player nice and safe, it runs on USB power OR batteries so can be taken with you for convenience (in the garden) and it can charge the player and , if connected to the pc with included USB cables, allows to transfer files as well.
it depends what you want - i would prefer thee dock for all its convenience, the ability to have the player sat nice and safe on the top is a definite bonus and also having the ONE neat compact little dock unit is also good.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsdoes your friend actually have the speaker - i have and i also have cheap pc speaker and built in monitor speaker and i can tell you the the FiiO is far superior to either.
look, for anyone listening the speaker is excellent, has great build quality, great bass, good volume with no distortion (must have decent encoded files though) -
the one let down, as i have said before, is that the speaker DOES NOT POWER the M6 whilst playing BUT i love it - its a great combination and the perfect home for my M6 to live safely, no more scraping on the desk.
just get one or maybe wait till end month as meizu maybe releasing their own branded version of the speaker (with possible enhancements - who knows???) - i should have waited but i did not buy it, it was a birthday present
ps. for UK customers http://www.climaxdigital.co.uk is the best place to but - £28.00 delivered, only took 2days to arriveLast edited by makd511; 09-20-2007 at 08:16 AM.
