    Pre-order MX in UK/Lithuania

Hey everyone, if someone in UK/Lithuania would like to get MX I can help. Just got message from friends in China, that MX CN version will be available from tomorrow ( but still have to preorder in advance ) , and as for IN ( international version ) I still have to wait few weeks until I can get one. So if anyone needs a help with getting MX in these countries, just contact me. I should get the first MX ( CN version ) right before the new year holidays ( China ).

The only MX on ebay is 600$ and it's in China, so You would have to pay VAT and import taxes, which are something around 120$ totally, plus safe shipping way via Fedex + another 30$. Which is 750$ at all, and no one would like to pay that much. If everything goes right I'll get first MX before the 23rd of January, will check all the vat taxes, import duties and so on, but the price should be 600$ including everything at most ( CN version costs 470$ ) Right after the new year holidays ( China's ) I will be able to get international version, which will cost 400$. So if everything goes fine with first phones, I'll be able to help everyone who wants to get MX with as lowest price as I can get.

Ok, the first CN version phone will arrive on 28th - 30th of January ( right after the holidays in China ) Still can't get any details about HK version as the demand is huge, as they say :D

And yes, it can be sent anywhere in Europe. Will be able to say exact price after in few days

By the way, does anyone want CN version? :D Cuz for HK, we still would have to wait till mid of the February, I suppose

Happy Chinese New Year everyone, and have some good news contacted my friend in China, had a lovely conversation. So... HK version is 400$, as I mentioned before, shipping via DHL express ( which takes only few days to reach Europe ) should cost nothing more than 30 - 35$ according to country You want to ship to. As for VAT and import taxes, it depends in which country You live. In UK it's 17% VAT for electronics + 15$ Administrative Taxes. As for other countries I don't really know. Now the contact from Hong Kong will be back from holidays at 3rd of February, and I will order first two phones. One to Lithuania, and another to UK, to see how much everything will cost in both cases ( especially for customs, as I can pass it much easier in Lithuania, while lowering the price of the phone... )

Now, for payment. Neither me, or the contact will send phone without receiving money. We also prefer money being transfered to bank account ( no fu**** western union anymore ) I will be the one, who can help with customs, if the tax rates are very high in Your country, most probably I will ask my brother to get the phone in Lithuania, clear the customs and send it to final point - You ( if saves a decent amount of money for You ) and I will also be the one standing for guarantee that You won't be scammed.

The last point - as I mentioned, I'm here only to help You guys. It won't consume a lot of my time, so the only person who is going to take a little money is the guy either in Hong Kong, or the girl in China, as it takes a decent amount of time to go to the shop, pick up the phone and send it. But it won't be something like these retails ask for.

Will post here again in few days, when I know exact prices with all import taxes and have the first machine in my hands. ( From previous experiences, with shipping electronics from Asia, I expect the final price should vary between 390 - 420 Euros, depends on customs

that sounds very interesting! Maybe I will sell my China MX and get myself a HK Version...
DHL sounds very good. In that way here in germany you pay the import tax on the amount which is written on the invoice attached to the outside of the parcel. You can already warn your contact in HK that this is neccessary when you send with DHL Express. You have to fill out a custom clarification and attach it to the outseide of the package so that the customs don't have to open it.
Then if there is 'cellphone' or 'MP3 Player' as item description and value 120USD you have to pay custom and import tax for these 120USD. Sure that lying is against the law. Cause the value is not right. But I experienced that with many sellers. Sure you can add the real value like 400USD and then you pay more. Just a hint!

Yeah, I know this. Did same with my M9, when shipped in from China. I never had my packages opened by customs, and on average I receive around 20 packages a year from Asia. Just in some countries, like Swis, they love to check the real price of unit just by scanning the codes ( these bastardos have their database ) and put on the value found on ebay or elsewhere So that's why I want to do it either in UK , or in Lithuania, as I know how things get "solved" in there, especially in Lithuania.

EDIT: and yeah, I almost bought a CN version, but then realized that I'll better wait for few weeks and get a rootable phone... It's just a pain to use very old phone :D

if you refer to the M9 with the 'old phone' I'm not with you. It is still pretty up to date.
I would have picked the HK Version too, but as I found out of the two versions it was already too late. because I lost email contact with my co-worker in China who decided then to buy the MX for me. Then my anticipation rised and I couldn't wait to hold it in my hands. Now that I have the newton rings problem upon the other CN version issue I think about selling the MX and getting me a HK-MX with hopefully no Newton rings.
But what could I charge for the MX-CN with newton rings? At the moment they are not visible...as long as you don't bend the phone. With you selling the MX-HK for about 450USD incl shipping I guess nobody would by my MX for about 340€ without having the risk to pay custom.

@iceman#1 For the customs problem it's simple: Declare a value under €22 (e.g. €18,36) and mark it as "Gift' or "Used". Customs problem solved

Not in everywhere Honda, especially in countries like Swis, or UK... It's easy in Lithuania , but Hungary has some problems with that too... I refer M9 as my old phone ( ex - phone ) which I lost in London before Christmas, this is why I call it OLD :D

    Hey

    I'm from Germany.
I'd like to know, whether I can change the menu into german?
My other question is, if I could use the HK- Mx with a german-sim?

Um... For first question - yes, and it is unlocked device with possibility to root, so You could install a localized FW, or simply by using Locator ( or something like this called APP ) which can also do the same. For second question - yes, just that MX use micro sim card, so You'll most probably have to buy new card or cut your current one

    hey ansgar
sure you can use a german SIM but like vytautes mentioned, you need a MicroSIM. But you can cut your normal SIM down to a Micro one. With the MX are coming two stickers you can attach to your SIM and they show you where to cut it. Stick to that even you cut through the metal. You can cut away special parts of the metal plate. Not everything under it is the chip. At first I thought I'm not allowed to cut through it, but I had to that to bring the SIM to live in my MX.
With the german UI...it is not that easy. German is not installed. If you download the app 'localize' or something like that from the market and chose the language German, every app you download from that point is german language. But I don't know if the UI is german. I guess not. Therefor you need a german Android firmware. And I so far there is no Meizu FW in german. So you would have to use an other one.

    Hey Honda,
that is true, but only theoreticly! Sure you can add this value to the parcel, but unfortunately the german customs is not dumb. I guess in that case they would open the package, even it is express. Because when they see a MP3 or phone like device they know that it is not such a low value. And the 'Gift' issue is kind of a fairy tale. I ones got a painting in a tube from a good friend in the US. It was valued with abot 300USD and marked as GIFT because it was my birthday gift. There was even a bithday card in it. The custom didn't care... I had to pay the full amount of tax, even it was a gift. And if the friend had not valued the painting so high, you would not get a refund when the tube gets lost.

    @vytautes
just bank transfer with IBAN and BIC or do you accept paypal too? In that case you have to put the paypal fee. When you receive money in EURO here in germany it is 1,9% + 0,35€. So I guess when somebody sends you in USD it is nearly the same. You should check your paypal.
