[Caution] Fastcardtech sells M8 without honest after-service!
Annoucement
Recently, a webshop www.fastcardtech.com who sells Meizu M8 to overseas consumers imposed a repair charge US$65 on a German buyer and professed that Meizu company charged it for repairing his defective M8.
After checking the serial No. & IMEI No. the German buyer provided, we found that his M8 had been repaired free of charge and returned to the original domestic buyer 2 months before. However, though we clarified for several times, showed the written certification issued by our authorized domestic dealer with its stamp, and asked the webshop to be honest and stop charging the German buyer in the name of Meizu company or our authorized dealer, this webshop just turns a deaf ear to our clarification and warning.
Hereby we declare as follows.
1. M8(SE) has only Chinese version so far, which we market in mainland China only. We never exported officially or authorized any online or offline companies or shops to export M8(SE).
2. Due to no international version available, no service centers and no field test performed outside China, we have no plan to market M8(SE) to other countries so far.
3. Caution: Online shopping has its risks! For the benefit of overseas consumers, we strongly suggest you buying from the physical flagship stores of our authorized domestic dealers if you're living in China. Or else, please wait till we develop a proper model fit for international standards and find reliable distributors who can take care of after-sales service locally in your countries.
4. We condemn the irresponsible behaviour of the webshop www.fastcardtech.com, and hope it could handle the German buyer's request properly and shortly.
5. We reserve the right to pursue legal actions against any infringement or libel to our company.
Thank you for your attention!

I bought my meizu from ebay and it had a touchscreen problem so I sent it back to china (to the seller) for repairs/exchange.
The ebay store now has blocked me in ebay and dosent respond to any emails i've sent.
Do not buy from ebay store POP_SHINE
(or you will find out yourself that they dont have any business ethics)Last edited by Hendrikk; 04-12-2010 at 07:54 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsOK:
I'll open myself to flames, primarily because i have stopped using my M8 as a phone (due to the touchscreen malfunctining) and check-in time to time to see whats new.
So, Meizu is upset that its name was used improperly and are threatening to sue?? thats a joke! What about all the BS announcements JW has made over the years - will he hold himself accountable for that as well? Or i guess, if you make outlandish [fake] statements in China (or violate patents and copyrights) that is ok - but in Germany Meizu intends to fight for lible??? that's hypocritical.
Its a good thing for Meizu that the chinese legal libel system prevents (or makes it hard) for the chinese users to sue them for an infrerior and misrepresented product.
And, not to mention they are plainly telling all the Meizume users on this forum (who are responsible for most of the international development and bug reporting) to go f*** themselves...
I don't understand why you guys are thanking them for this post which means absolutely nothing, and has no new information??
It doesn't show that Meizu cares about you or the international market, over the past year the only time they want to make an official statement on this forum is to tell us that they don't want to deal with us.
And, please don't flame me if your only argument is going to be that they care about the international user and they are trying to tell us not to pay for service/sales to companies selling the product overseas in the grey market; because:
1. this is a one-sided statement; no statement from the german company or the end-user who paid for the service fee.
2. when we buy the meizu on ebay or the web we normally pay a premium over the retail prices and it is implicitly understood that there is no free service or support of the product.
3. again, because it is a one sided statement who is to confirm that the service fee is not for 'sending' the M8 back and forth to Meizu; as even on the meizu forums they say that they may not charge for repairing but there will be other shipping/customs/handling charges!

I agree to anxiousone.
Meizu should care more about an international release of an meizu, and not say "we never dealed with overseas countries, so we will never care about them"
Meizu Company, you want a good business? So make your Phone usefull for ALL OF US and not only for chineese! Your Phone is good, but if you did not release an international firmware with Apps, not anymore!

In light of recent events (My M9 was stolen before I recieved it!) Meizu wants you to remember the following:
Caution: Online shopping has its risks! For the benefit of overseas consumers, we strongly suggest you buying from the physical flagship stores of our authorized domestic dealers if you're living in China. Or else, please wait till we develop a proper model fit for international standards and find reliable distributors who can take care of after-sales service locally in your countries.
