Building a Complete Theme
Guys. I'm trying to build a complete theme.. that is a theme that will skin ALL the programs other than those just included in the default FW..

Theres nothing worse than having a really cool set of customised icons, only to install an app that the theme doesnt skin the icon.
In order to build an theme, you must edit the 'config' file located within the '.mth' file. There are a couple appz out there that do this manually, but they only allow adding/editing of the basic provided icons in the M8 FW... so the new appz [and their associated png's] must be entered into the 'config' file. manually.
The trouble is that you need the correct registry sub-key to be placed in the config file - in order for the icon to display correctly on the desktop when the theme is applied.
One easy way to find this sub-key is through M8Sprite... simply make a back-up of your desktop icons. This file is saved as 'DeskTopItems.ini' in Disc/Program Files /M8Sprite/Backup. Copy it to your computer and open with notepad.
There, you will see all your Desktop entries with the Registry sub-key [the name needed to include into ur theme config file], the Desktop Display name and File Path [location of the program .exe]
You can use this information to help you build your theme.
I have some of this information, but naturally, there are many programs I dont have currently installed.... so maybe we can use this thread for users to provide this information to help people build their themes more efficiently.

It would be great if you can add to this list for applications that are not mentioned. I will update the list on this page so we can have a comprehensive list of the Registry sub-keys for as many appz as possible... then we can build really comprehensive themes that skin all programs.
Cheers.

Thanked 50 Times in 20 PostsGuys.. its exactly what it says. A small program that adds an icon to your desktop for the default Meizu keyboard. Use it in conjunction with a gesture program like Maintain, and you can pop the default keyboard up for use in applications like Word and Excell.
A tutorial of how to install [by rori] is here:
Microsoft Office 2008 Pack
or
[How to] write in Office [tutorial]
The app is located here (thanx rori):
Meizu Me - Downloads - Keyboard [default] pop
Hope that helps.
PS.. Please add your programs to the above list if they are not here... it will help greatly!Last edited by cybermessiah; 10-01-2009 at 11:44 PM.
