    [HowTo] Create UI-Themes for M8

I'll explain the procedure with the Program 'Radialix 2'. Any other Resource Hacker would do this job too.

Copy the following files from the 'windows'-directory on your M8 to your PC:

    backupres.dll
    CalenderRes.dll
    clockres.dll
    ContactServerRes.dll
    MzMusicRes.dll
    MZRES.dll
    MzVideoRes.dll
    ShellRes.dll
    smsres.dll
    TaskManRes.dll

Open Radialix (you can get a Demo from here)
Choose: File - New - New Localization Project
Select one of the dll's with 'Add file...'
    Click on 'OK' and 'Finish'

On the left will appear a folder named 'RT_RDDATA' (or anything similar)
    Click on the folder.

After that you will get a view like this:

All appeard images can be replaced like this:

Choose the image you want to replace.
Rightclick on the image and choose 'Toggle "Read-only"'
    Second rightclick 'Load...'
    Choose any image you want.

After you have finished select Translation - Build all

A file named *.deu will appear in the folder of you dll-file. Rename that file to *.dll and copy it to the windows-folder of your M8. If you have problems with that renaming of the original file might help.

Caution: A UI-Theme is only for one Firmware! You can only use it as long as there are no changes in the original *.dll!

I'm less interested in the icons, and more interested in changing the UI, ie. top bar, bottom bar. I guess it works too?
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

you can change the style of the bottom bars. the images are in the files too.

just open a file with radialix and you will see what can be changed.

the topbar is maybe in a another dll.

edit: the topbar is in ShellRes.dll

    Hey guys,

Can anyone tell me how to upload files here ???
I've tried in 20 different ways without success (tried many browsers).

Anyway, I have a theme to share with you. I've just bought the Meizu M8 and spent 1 hour to trigger the zuma.mth

Can anyone be so kind to upload it for me ?
My mail : -snipped- (send me an e-mail I'll reply with the file).

    Hope you'll love it

Can somebody tell me how I can exchange the files? I just edited the "shellres.dll" and then stopped at the point where I cannot transfer it to the windows folder. I can not delete the original file or rename it. Either with the explorer of the Meizu it doesn't work because it's a read-only file. When I try to change that it says that it isn't possible.

EDIT: Found it out by myself: First you have to move the old dll file from the windows folder to another folder on your device but not on your disk. Than you have to move the new dll file from the device (again not from the disk!) to the windows folder and overwrite the old one. Now you have to restart to see the result. This only works with the standard file browser (documents).

I thought it could be usefull for the art fans to keep track of better website that hold icons, wallpapers or other so have a look here for icons:
Icon Archive - 26,000+ free icons, buddy icons, xp icons, vista icons, desktop icons, aim icons

In my Case even that didn't worked. I found out, that I had to select all edited files with in the explorer.exe and clicked copy -> changed to the windwos folder -> and paste.
    Everything gone well. Strange
