M8 Theme Editor

Hi all,

i have written an editor in english, but I don't know if it works,
because I havent got an m8 (it's ordered )

Maybe someone with an m8 can test it....
One bug I know is, that you can't load more than one theme in one session, because picture files are blocked... don't know why...

Please give me a feedback if it works...

  • Bugfixes:
    • fixed the bug with the file-filter (only .mth files were choosable) when browsing images to add, hope it runs!
  • Todo:
    • drag&drop images / themes (it's easyer)
    • better preview, with the default meizu bar on top
    • preview of standby and call background
    • maybe an upload funktion or something like this..

• v1.2:
  • bugfixes:
    • fixed the bug with the Calendar icon... now the calendar icon will be shown!!!
  • added:
    • better preview with the bars and the ability to change the preview (call, desktop, locked)
    • preview images will be generated and saved into the .mth file, so on the m8, the preview is also available
  • todo:
    • still better preview with tranparent bars and so on...
    • maybe an upload funktion or something like this..
    • drag&drop images / themes (it's easyer)

I hope it is better to use now, if tell me bugs or new features for the next version i would be grateful and i will try to implement!

I'm not sure, but I think you have to install .net Framework... it's written in c# / .net ...

Please tell me you're joking... The title of the thread is 'M8 Theme Editor'.

themes are a set template, changing the icons of the main meizu apps, the lock screen, wallpaper and call screen. with this app you can make your own theme, or edit someone elses

it's nice but when you click on the folder (at the right side of each field) it allows you to open files with mth extension only.
It should allow you to select your icons which are with png extension...

also there's no preview on screen?!

yes you are right, but since i am just able to load a theme (on my computer) with this and then just watch it...i was thinking of a simulation thing...

I will fix the Problem this afternoon... the filter will be set, when you load a theme... and then the filter is also set when opening images.... but I will fix it... a preview should be working? or not?

no I don't see any preview on the M8 (on the right side of the window)

hmm... i saw a preview... i testet on win 7 rc and win xp... i also had a preview when i loaded a theme... anyone else has no preview?

should be fixed now, uploaded a new version (1.1)

but I have to define a background image else I can't see any preview...

One more remark: could you scale the icons showed on preview?

sure.. now they are scaled to 48x48 (half of original) and background is also the half of original... just tell me a better scale, as i said, i havent got a m8 yet!

The icons used are 96x96 pixel 24-bit PNG files with full transparency support.

The desktop backgrounds are the standard 480x720 JPG.

so i think you should use these types of pictures...

I got this message

Check Your paths to images and make sure that you selected all images

Does anyone know why this happens when i try to save a theme?

Hey raangu, when you choose a phone or standby background, does it have to have the numbers or icons that you drag to unlock?
