Congratulations...first [unoriginal ] Meizu Me user theme uploaded!

I noticed there is another copy of the .mth file inside the theme...was that an accident or by design?

Also, a stupid question: I'm a little confused by the naming conventions for the icons and the .cfg file. It doesn't seem very logical when some names match (like Notepaper=Notepaper.png and shows up as Notepaper on the M8) but others don't (AudioPlayer shows up as Music, for example).

Do you have to follow that naming system exactly when putting together a theme and then the M8 does the magic when reading the file? And after loading the standard .mth file, then you can go mess with names and icon order using the methods I remember reading on another thread?

Yes that was by accident. I will reupload it.

The icon naming is in the registry. Those names in the .cfg are probably the names of the .exes.

Apparently you can change the names of the icon as long as the .cfg files matches the names. Haven't tried it, though.

The icon order and names are set in the registry, not in the theme itself.

But when I apply the theme the phone icon (from desktop) is not updated... It remains the same as Meizu standard one althought I saw in your theme that the Iphone phone icon was present...
Any idea why?

edit: I found the solution. Just need to edit the config file with "Phone=Phone.png"

EDIT2: how did you manage to modify the incoming call interface? You changed the "drag/drop" buttons into regular buttons...

I didnt change the incoming call interface...

Nothing for the opposite, but you can make it yourself.

Maybe as the sticky thread under the appropriate (almost empty) forum? Geez...

look at what my incoming call screen looks like now!


and I can answer / reject the call by pressing one of the button (no need to drag and drop as in original theme)

I think he meant to make a theme for the iPod Touch/iPhone, not the M8.

wow how did that happen? I didnt change anything like that...
I only changed the wallpaper.

Did you get the call when the phone was unlocked? That could be why.

perhaps you're right, I don't remember if the screen was unlocked or not... I'll check this tomorrow

edit: you were right this incoming call screen appears when the screen is unlocked. Usual incoming call screen with drag/drog icons when screen is locked

May I also ask why you come here to ask for advice on making iTouch themes?

To get things straight, I am sorry that my message was not correctly stated. But all I am saying is that you had not right to insult me. Also I was not insulting all of the Meizu Me and all its members. I love using this site, I like knowing about the Meizu M8 in hope that I might get one later. I come to this site for a Meizu M8 iPod touch theme because apple forums criticize the Meizu M8 and say that itwould be a waste of their time. I am sorry if my message before came across as insulting every one. I am just saying that some members could be a little bit nicer with answering questions, because everybody does not have the same knowledge as other members. For example I am 15 and may not have the same knowledge as everyone else. I once again I am sorry if I insulted anyone, I truly love this site and Meizu. The only reason I got an iPod touch is because it was available and cheaper.

Before derailing the entire topic train, couldn't a Google search like "how to make ipod touch themes" worked for you and saved you loads of time?

True, but you'll have to ask the Apple forums, since we are Meizu Me, and I'm doubtful that any member here has the knowledge to create a jailbroken iPod theme.

Sure you weren't...

I think he was looking for a pre-made one.

If you do have the time, maybe you could make one yourself and shar it with other iPod Touch/iPhone users. And not everyone is mean like that on MeizuMe, some people just get tired of constantly telling others obvious things. Although in this case, I believe it was just miscommunication.
