Red/White theme for new UI

After my Blue Theme for the New UI I started a new project together with stopthe war to make a red theme for the m8.
I will make the images for the UI, stopthewar will make the icons.

Here are some screens, please give your feed back, all comments are welcome.

Only I find the 'white' part (like the background behind the clock) a little bit to white. Something a little bit darker would be nice imo

Made a lot of changes, just in the way I thought it looked good.

There are still some little mistakes in some images, you don't have to tell me cause I already saw





Btw... can someone tell me in wich DLL I can find the images used for the power off and restart menu? And same question for the music player in the lock screen ?
Please help me out finding those images peeps, so I can continue and give you dll's for a red white theme

Isnt the lock and shutdown in MZRES.dll mzmusicres.dll or mzmusiclient.dll Hope Im right

I couldnt find the highlights on the MZRES.dll but will look on tomorrow, just edited the music widget

where are the images located for the sms bubbles (the green and blue/gray text bubbles)

where are the highlight and the buttons for the turnoff menu located?

where can I find the images for the musicplayer on the lock screen?

where are the images located for the bars on the calendar widget?

please help finding out with a resource tuner or PE explorer or something like that!

I use res tuner. its great. I got 20 days left for trial

Just editted the music player:




Small bug here, can't read the title anymore... will make a solution, or can any one edit the color of the letters here for me? please let me know!

edited all the images in the player, still not everything is changed so:


so people please help me find out where the black menu bar is located and where I can find the buttons in the setting menu

also no effect on the lock screen so please help locating this pictures too

I think the equalizer would look better if it was a shade of gray or yellow. Especially over a red background.

the black bars you mean ?
if yes... I also dont like them this way so there will be a change

ok found some images, the sms text bubbles seems to be in MZRESV2.dll

I will edit mzresv2 tomorrow and see what happens, if this one is used by meizu then I also found the images from te lock screen

edit: couldn't wait until tomorrow just editted the lock screen images, lets see if this works restarting now

ok last addition with images for today, lock screen is editted, it looks ugly right now but I only replaced some images with the ones I already made for the music player.


So this does work, and yes I will change things because it looks ugly right now :P

do you have a black & red version ? preferably dark red but as long as its the combination of black and red it'll work... its just much more stylish :S look at how good looking the music player's widget colors on the lockscreen !

there but i would have suggested to go with white&black or Black&red ... much more appealing and suites the industrial design of the meizu m8 think abou an all black m8 with a Black&red UI or a white back and black front m8 with a White&black UI

can you make something of that sort ?

think about that this theme will take me about more then 20 hours work, I will say yes there will be other theme's in the future if people are willing to provide help to me and edit dll's with images I editted or made

but for now... I'm making the red white theme how I like it and will go on with that

and why white: I've got a white meizu so because of that I make a white one

you can most certainly send me the images that needs to be edited or recolored i would gladly help with the coloring just tell me what to do and send me the images in a rar or zipped ... i will edit them and send them back to you so you could repack them to a .thm file (i think thats the format)

it shouldn't be that hard should it ? i mean you already have all the red buttons done and the original meizu theme is black so i'll just have to implement the red stuff instead of the blue basically

anyway pm me on what i should do ... i'll try to help out
