Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsPeople expecting the first version of new UI to come out at Oct 1, but I don't see any chance of that happening...maybe another leak with the current UI, but that's it.

M8 SE work on current FW 0.9.2.7
Answer from MEIZU:
"...current M8 firmware compatible with M8SE instead. The future released firmware will be compatible with both M8SE and M8 phones."
Answer from MEIZU:
"The new UI is still under design which will take about 3 months. The screenshots on our BBS may not be the final version."

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsI hope that 3 months is calculated from June/July when the first picture was posted on the bbs

Might be a default answer...

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 Posts0.9.3.7 is now on Meizu's website, but the changelog only says:
Added support for M8SE
So probably not worth downloading for us with M8s.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI was wondering with the M8SE not having a music button on the side will the new firmware for the SE render the M8s button useless?

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Poststrue, it sounds obvious that the function will be there but not used on SE.
for example you computers keyboard can have the key "$" but if you do not need it, you wont push it, so you wont miss it if it was not there and if really needed there are alternative ways the create the key.

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsYou are not able, in any way, to press this button, so i also think that nobody cares, it will be somewhere in the firmware.
You can always simulate the 'play' button with Maintain(look in download section or threads)Ben je Nederlands?
