Official0927 & Opera Working Question

With the 0931, it is stated that the GPRS bug had been fixed.
Well, the userconnect.ini thingy was/is a working solution for the same thing in the Official0927 fW, but still I have not been able to get Opera to work.
EDGE / GPRS is working, I can surf using UCWeb, but not with Opera.
Can anyone who has this working on hs/her M8, guide so that I can compare notesand get the opera working.

Alright Guys.. do you mean to tell me out of the supposedly "Millions" of the M8's sold... no one has Opera working on Edge/GPRS.......????

he want to surf with opera and gprs connection

i can't too but never try ucweb looks like you have to use another keyboard with it and i prefer the default one.

Thanks adamL, yes I want to surf using the inbuilt Opera...

On another point, for UCWeb, you can use the inbuilt keyboard, but it gets stuck sometimes, but if you are not too much in love with the inbuilt keyboard, I would suggest you to please try the Touchpal....

After using it once, I have never gone back to the inbuilt keyboard, touchpal has too many options, and although it is a little buggy at times, it is still better than the inbuilt one....

Give it a try....

well, I use GPRS, Opera and default keyboard, everything works...

but I remember that I had a prob with opera and wifi, I think 0906,0907...nothing worked, than I reseted all registries, factory settings,network settings... and it worked!!

Well, I'm not sure if this is even near the answere you were looking for, but lets try
I had to change some settings to be able to use the GPRS connection with Opera when i changed from fw 0915 to 0927. (I've never used UCweb, so I don't know if that worked with the old settings or works with the new ones.)
I actually had to delete the username and password from the GPRS settings to be able to use Opera, but as I said, I'm not sure if it worked with UCweb with the old settings.

It's weird that I had to change the GPRS settings when going from one fw to another. But it works fine now, and that's all I want

I didn't understand what you guys ment with the keyboard? Is that what's not working for you?

I got a little confused too, but just to be clear, I use International Keyboard. And it doesn't work with boxes that needs to be filled out in websites. Just like all other, except the native keyboard.

i think the problem come from the firmware now it's not compatible with all providers.

919263 you should ask if someone have gprs and opera working with your provider and with the last firmware too(0.9.2.7 official or 0.9.3.1 leak)

i get it work with an old fw but it doesn't work anymore now.

and the question was confusing for me, cause there are already somany threads about this neverending topic!

Opera works fine for me too, and the 0927 build seemed slightly faster, both over GPRS and WIFI.

good for you but if you want to help 919263 you should give him your settings i guess it's what he expect.

Everyone... The question was not too complicated
Some one suggested that the GPRS settings are now provider related, I do not think so, these are just Network settings... and like any other Wireless device, if the frequency , gateway, ports are the same, it should work.
I do not believe that for the same settings, the Opera checks if it is in China and lets Opera connect and if it finds that it is in US.... it says "NO"

So if you are one of the many who has it working on GPRS, all I want is that you post your settings, and also if you did something to the "userconnect" file.

Please post your GPRS settings.....NOT what they should be... But WHAT they ARE.....We all know what they should be....
