Too many tweak apps/makes system unstable

Hi folks,

I got my phone about two weeks ago and have gotten a lot looks. I really like the phone but it is just unstable. With built in settings, m8 sprite, maintain, the other tweak apps it causes the phones os to not respond or not go back to the desktop once you hit the (M) button. I have updated the firmware to 9.7 it acts alright until, I install the the apps. I have redone the phone 3 times in an attempt to find out which of the programs cause this to happen. I finally got my text services to work right and have been sending and receiving like crazy. Now, if I could get the phone to be a little more stable I would be ok. I kinda hate the fact that you have to do the whole thing over again once you do a firmware upgrade. Even if you can backup the settings if they are corupt why would you place them back over a good running fresh system? So I start fresh everytime. I have noticed if I hook up the phone to my pc and do a system check it seems to help sometime( using vista).

Out of the new app package I downloaded I have gotten rid of about half of them just trying to keep a good setup until a go working firmware ugrade is released. Also, a package full of themes causes the phone to go crazy after install so stick with the basic ones for right not.

This phone is Amazing I have done some good things with it so far. I ran it head to head against an iphone at my job and it pass most of the test!!!!

One guy came to me and Said, "You have a Meizu".
I hope the guy or guys writing the software take there time and fix the big things first the little things will come naturally.

Hi again, I just completed my 4th redo and the os of the phone still hangs when you exit settings or any of the other programs used to tweak the phone like M8sprite. For example if you open M8sprite or settings then press (m) or the exit(m8sprite) you will not go right back to the desktop you are still in sprite or settings. Once you move the screen to page 2.3 etc. then you you return to the desktop. Anybody else have this problem. This problem, I was thinking, had to do with firmware 9.7 but I just downgraded back to 9.6, cleaned registers, removed all programs preinstalled, and powered off after program add. I mean wow, I hope this problem can be addressed. I am tired been up most of the night so I decided to fix my phone but it has been fixing me, HA.........

I am also on tMo in Texas...
I tried your settings, but when I try to send a MMS, it says after some time MMS Failed....
Can we compare notes on that???

Also, you are right about the phone not responsive or sluggish after loading a bunch of apps...
I saw a big decrease in the capabilities of the phone after I installed MDock...took it off and DO NOT intend to install it again....

Coming back to the server settings, anything else I need to do???

make sure you include the plus sign..


You want to just start over again as far as the phone goes. I downgraded to 9.0.6
firmware. On the meizu main site they still have not change 9.0.7 to the official

one to load as of yet so don't use it...


I started over fresh you can even get rid of of the other programs that came pre-installed in the Programs folder under disk in your windows directory.
remember you will see programs and program files you will want programs.
You will see all the programs that someone has done over in this form in that folder, but they are all in Chinese. I opened each and changed the name to the english. Once i cleared the registry i opened each one to see what they looked like. There are a few there I have never seen but you are better off with the english rewrites someone has done on this site. The only tweak I installed was sprite and desktop control panel. Now I am back in business. No hangs, pauses, or that other stuff with the 9.0.7 firmware.



Remember the clearing of that registry is important! If you start over.

This happens, when I switch off "program launch animaton" in m8-sprite.

hey i have a problem with sms. I can send perfectly and it says sms send successful but no one recieves it. phone numbers are correct cause i put my sim in my old phone and sent to same person and then they got it. I i recieve an sms then i can click reply and then they recieve it. otherwise...

@Timsomor it sounds like either your FW or one of your programs are corrupted or worst you could have a hardware issue. Try downloading official FW/OS from this site if you havent already and see how you go.

If not solved download this app pack kindly brought to us by LVL, im sure most if not all apps should work fine in that pack.

I just went back to the 9.0.6 firmware. the phone seems to be alright. I can not wait until things get right with the writers of the firmware. I love the hell out of this phone I have used it for so many things......

what I did to fix that is is make two copies of of the ur- file with windows I tested both until I found to one that worked for me.

yeah delete the tmobile profile more then likely it will tell you can't just change the sync center find the ur-file delete it put in one you made it you don't have one just copy the one you are about to delete to a folder on your computer, a mean who has not created a meizu folder on there computer by now, HA. save it as a txt not a doc file. then make a few copies input the info from above and all over the form and give it a whirl;.
