M8 Firmware 0.9.0.5 [leaked] - 2009.04.20.

Surprise, surprise...another firmware leak
Looks like they focused on the camera this time, because the interface looks different and they added a self-timer function. Also the music player can now download lyrics for your music files.
All the previous applications seems to work without any problems!

but,....I am thinking about the self-timer function,hmm....one cannot really use it!

some changes that i found:
- wlan settings (only layout?)
- bug with artist or album classification removed
(- lyrics download which was already known)

Oh yeah the buttons at the wifi settings are now orange colored

tried with edguy (german power metal) and found all of the album

ok sometimes it is not the right song

for example no regrets from rage opens no regrets from bon jovi

So the new FW is stable and worth installing?
Sounds really great if I could download the lyrics so easily. Especially the lyrics from edguy. I love this band .

the word leak makes me a bit paranoid, probs wait for stable version, but the camera changes are cool, but the seelf timer might be a bit pointless

Some of the positions are awful and getting worse. Things like words being truncated and words being out of place and fonts being to big causing the words to be too big for the buttons they are on.

Has anyone else noticed qq is gone or did my install mess up?

It's probably gone because it wasn't the official version by Tencent, and if I'm right the new version will be out soon.

edit: If you tap on the little sun icon after pressing the volume keys, you can switch to digital-zoom mode.

edit2: The background from the boot logo has been eliminated (M logo). It's now black instead of the gradient background.

This is great. Hate the current one - u press the up vol to switch other mode and to zoom out u have to fully zoom in.

Address Book: The first Tab is "all" now, in the previous versions we could not change the first tab.

QQ is gone

In Wireless settings, where you put in the network details, the "Ignore this " and "Ignore all networks" are in Orange

For Call/Data first, now you go to a different screen and there is a radio button for what you want there.

Camera definitely has more eye candy, but still works the same....

Tried the browser, did not see any difference.

OVERall, if you were happy wit the 0904-Official, or 0904Off-2 (Silent) version, you could go for this one as well, it will not be detrimental to the phone use, the camera version is definitely better. But they still have not resolved the basic functions: Voicemail Indicator, MMS receive & send, hey Meizu guys... look into these issues first.... decorate the phone later....

The browser could use some work as well....
