MEIZU M8 0.9.0.4_3 firmware leaked screenshot

Great, the firmware is getting better and better!

- Opera is indeed a lot quicker (no more checkerboard image when sliding through a page + smoother zooming)
- doubleclick the M button will open the Task Manager
- phone conversations will be recorded in mp3 format (was wav previously)
- new phonebook (looks good)
- GPRS warning (...)


- Send contact option in phone settings


- slight change in Music Player's font


- slightly new task manager look

Uploaded to MediaFire and added to Downloads section.

Installed it and foung these things...
1) There is no contact management. In the previous version, you could back up the contacts and bring them back after an FW update. NOT there in this version.

2) The phone book does not change language even if you have selected English as the language... NO GO on this as well.

3) if it is true as mentioned earlier in this thread that when using GPRS.. you cannot reveive calls... then this FW is definitely a NO NO... I am not going to get away from the basic function of the CELL PHONE...

As I found out about the first 2 issues, I downgraded back to 0903_2.
That was withing 10 mins... Cant have a cell phone without my contacts....

Will wait and see if something better comes up.

this time you just back up all data to back up contact

i am going to try this firmware now....Lemme take a chance....

2) Only the tabs (contact groups) arent translated. Unless you sort your contacts in groups, this isnt a real big deal. Although I will complain that contact search still has the weird IOPKL keyboard.

this one looks promising but I'll wait for next fw release to upgrade...

Worked for me. I did a backup, upgraded fw and restored contacts, call list and clock

The tabs become numbered 1,2,3 instead of Family, Friends, Work (I forgot the tab names)

Can you please explain the first point.... even in the contact backup of the 0903_2 version, the language used for some of the things is rally confusing "Copy to card"... I always thought card was the SIM... till I found out that it meant the Phone... So if you have done the backup this way, please give some pointers...

If the contacts can be backed up... and restored from the phone itself then it becomes a little easier....

The in GRPS and Calll issue does not happen in the 0903_2 version...as the calls come in even if you are on GPRS... I am hopingthat there is no such issue in the next versions, cause that would be a definete NO NO for me. Also if you have had a chance to do the comparison, how fast is the Browser??? cannot fight the other Negatives for just the web browser.....

The call can comes when u'r using GPRS or EDGE!!!
But make sure that call comes when u r not download or upload DATA in that second!!!

didn't test but I think that calls might be blocked when you're loading an internet page on the M8 but are no longer blocked once your page loading is complete.

hi, i find a bug when you open the picture menu and you rotate the picture sometime if you click on M for return the Desktop the screen rest in the rotation.

the slide destop is very slow is normal ???

hi, i find the bug inside the setting mail.
the option Email download when you click for change the fonction, the font come back chinese.

Regarding the GPRS and the call issue, in the 0903-2 version, if you are surfing, and a call comes in... the browser just closes or goes in the background and the Called ID pops up... That feature is indispensable....no matter what...

OK, I did as crimson had stated.
Was able to bring back the contacts and all... Really Nice tip.. although this feature has been there for a while, I did not know about it.

Ran the phone thru the hoops.. ver 0904-3
Ran the Internet speed test
Internet Performance and Speed Test
Used the Text test on the ADDR.com server
Results:
Cleared the Cache after every test
Without M8 Crack: Speed: 58K
With M8 Crack: 58K

The Phone does not ring if in GPRS active mode.
Did like the Opera Browser "X" button, but did not see any other tweaks both Eye candy or performance wise.

After this, cleared the registry and downgraded to the 0903-2 version
Ran the Internet speed test again
Internet Performance and Speed Test
Used the Text test on the ADDR.com server
Results:
Cleared the Cache after every test
Without M8 Crack: Speed: 45K
With M8 Crack: 70K

Was surprised with this result,
Cleared the Cache. history and cookies and ran the test again..
With M8 Crack: 69K

The Phone responds even if the GPRS is active
From the results I am not sure that the earlier comments by other users that the Opera is faster could be correct, but I am basing my statements completely based on the test results. If Opera was the only reason to upgrade, then this is not going to be enough, my tests are saying something else...

I'm really stumped by the Opera browser ... doesn't connect!! My MSN works, my Yahoo e-mail through POP3 works , but NOT the browser! Any ideas and help appreciated.
