Meizu M8 Firmware Wishlist

Hi, I think it would be nice if daylight saving times were included in the M8 clock. Since we recently switched back to summer time (in Germany) all the other world times are off by one hour :-p.

When battery is very low, still allow us to use the camera function. At least for taking pictures if not ok for video.

Backup feature should include music and video player's settings (equalizer, bass, treble, etc...).

Option to scroll of song titles and menus. I hate not being able to reat the rest of a setting function and song titles.

being able to edit songs. oi have this annoying thing where albums, for example Thriller, is split in two by Thriller and thriller. Very annoying when it says i have 8 albums by a certain artist when i only have five. could that be edited in iTunes?

What I would like to see is a browser that comes up with larger letters, I hate expand the screen to be able to read the web information. also it would be nice to play music and video from the links.

Music Player settings > Edit ID3 tag

A counter for remaining characters in SMS! I was annoyed yesterday because I have sent like 10-15, and most of them got sent in two parts so it cost me like double as normal

oh yes. you're rigth. same probleme here. sms-letters-counter is a have to!!

I think the blacklist function needs an update too. It should include SMS (now does not) and it should be possible to activate/deactivate it.
And the function "reject anonymous SMS" in the message settings should refer to senders that are not in the adress book (actually I am not sure to what "anonymous" refers to).

i think that when we backup the phone, (eg when we upgrade fw) that the locations of apps on the desktop should be remembered. i have a special place for most apps, and it takes at least 5-10 mins to get it in the right place again.

Yes!!!! I thought i was the only one with that little 'financial' problem!
I have the feeling that sometimes i text 5 letters to much and still have to pay double! And in text messages words are like this:

This is a problem that really needs to be fixed!!!!(very annoying and vague)

When my earphones are pluged in I can't hear any sound of an incoming text message. There should be an option to disable it.
When someone is calling me, while the earphones are pluged in the phone is ringing. Should be the same for textmessages.

Everyone should agree with me that our device deserves a better software as good as the hardware .
So here a severals requests about my current FW 0.9.1.0:

1 Screen rotation (use the gravity sensor)
- on HS (maby a few animtion for icon changing)
- on player (in landscape maby add a new stylish appearance)
- on keyboard + hide button when no longer needed (simply "done" button)
- on all list/table and settings (make your it more usable)
2 More interactive upper taskbar (when you click on the selected item should show up with a hint cloudlet or status with the possibility to move to the item options)
- When I click on the battery icon
- When I click on the bluetooth icon
- When I touch a time
- When I click on the WiFi icon
- When I click on the range icon
3 Menu View mode option (as "List", as "Table" - witch scrolling of course)
4 More Wifi Settings (add/remember network list - like a bluetooth)
5 Music Player
- when it is minimized to tray, in addition to start/stop, I want also see the next and the previous buttons too
6 Camera (more choices)
- Divx recording mode in 640x480 or wide 640x384 (30 or 15 fps)
- In capture mode add Macro, Qouality, Compress, other types (bmp, raw, tiff)
7 Weather (use WiFi)
8 RegEdit
9 Video player needs a few option
- add *.mkv support
- use the gravity sensor to rotation movie and player
10 Sound recorder expansion needs of the few options
- some of type: wav, mp3, flac
11 Animation/sound when turning on and off the device
- Add this simply options in "System" with the possibility to choose their own songs, animation, text or greeting
12 MS Office Mobile

OK enough to start, I will update with the time

5 Music Player
- Add equalizer witch coustomize mode
- Add tags, album arts in to: mp3, flac, ape etc.

Have you ever been in the Music Player's settings? There are 6 presets by default plus a custom one and you can adjust all of them.
I'm not sure what exactly you mean by the second request... you can edit ID3 tags in the settings too. I guess embedded album art won't show up though...

- In capture mode add Macro, Zoom (digital), Qouality, Compress, other types (bmp, raw, tiff)

Digital zoom is already in the firmware (press the volume buttons), and I think there's no need for a separate Macro mode, because the auto-focus can do a good job anyway.

9 Video player needs a few option
- use the gravity sensor to rotation movie and player

Why would you want to do that? I can't think of a reason why you would watch a movie in portrait mode.

11 Animation/sound when turning on and off the device
- Add this simply options in "System"

You can turn on those sounds in M8Sprite.

I know it's in Sprite but why not put on a permanent basis with the possibility of these options to choose any sound, in addition, welcome the opportunity to insert text or animation ?
