Meizu M8 Firmware Wishlist

It would be nice to be able to write the umlauts (ä ö ü) for German and other languages instead of having to write ae, oe, and ue all the time, not that important and I assume since Meizu isn't targeting Europe's markets yet it will be a while before that happens
The alarm clock turning on even if the phone was off, a draft folder, and SMS delivery reports I also think would be good features.

1/ two sms keyboards

2/possibility to select the hour/minutes/sec in a video

3/Better browser(more smooth and usuable)

4/no more bugs on sms menu(sometimes you can do anything it's impossible to write a letter and you have to wait some minutes)

5/msn in english with caps for the adress(not only for the password)

6/english keyboard set to defaults when you choose english language

7/ this caracter é in sms menu

8/an official pdf/word reader in english

9/up the cpu to 300mhz and sell a better battery(1400/2000mA)

10/measures and conversions(euros dollars etc...)

1) Set a picture as a background through the picture viewer/explorer.

2) A proper App Manager in English!

Rabsi, Skype is a third party add-on, and likely will not be developed by Meizu.

standardization of phone numbers: numbers with or without country code should be managed the same way for calls and sms

update your firmware then you will be able to view html mails and download attachments...

same the iphone preview mails ?????

when you download the email ok you have the mails but if you want the correct mail you need click on Show the Web button. why don't have same thing directly in the mails. Why need the opera ????

although I really like the conversation interface I would also appreciate having an access to regular sms/mms management: inbox, sent items, sending box, drafts, personal files...

These things would be great - but i'd be happy if they were to FIX the bugs on the phone first - their software engineers seem to be more tempted by adding the fluffy stuff and i would imagine they would pick up a couple of these ideas first before fixing the problems with the phone!

Most important is the phone number recognition CallerID issue, which i seem to be the only one harping about until now, Dark13 seems to find that a bug as well - thanks for backing me up!

The other would being able to search contacts on both first and last names

Having a 'shift' button to capitalize the first letter rather than using caps lock twice, also other punctuation related stuff like moving a long word to the next line rather than having it flow from the end of one line and onto the new line. Also, to be able to turn off predictive text or to not have to press space or the word shown in predictive window - this is annoying especially for non-dictionary words, and apparently it also applies to adding a name in contacts - if you add a contact on your phone.

Syncing issues with clock, contacts, calendar especially...

Third party apps that would convert dollars to euros (Etc) or show weather info (english), skype, msn, is quite far down on my list.

i read a lot of wishes for going the same way as apple goes with the iphone os. animations and transition...i don´t need that things copied in my m8.

they should do it better, nicer, and more unique and the cpu of the phone should be powerfull enough isn´t it?!


summary:
- main functions should be added
- all issues should be solved
- and i guess that everything should be different (and better) to the apple stuff...


what do you think of all that "let the M8 be like the iphone" stuff??

nearly forgotten: it was happening so often till now that someone stands beside me while i was pulling out my ringing phone...they said...wow...nice. after the call i was sliding the desktop menu and they said...only an iphone copy isn´t it??... that´s not nice...

when you reject an incoming call with the "end call" button it'd be good if it could route the caller to the voicemail box instead of simply ending the call
most of the time callers assume there was a network issue and try to call back again and again!

I'm sorry, this is not an iPhone firmware wishlist. Seriously though, just use the search function and search how to copy and paste and you'll find it in the results.

They aren't firmware updates, but a conversion app (that connects to the inetrnet for updated currency conversions) would be kick-ass!
