Not as of yet. It is a leak. It is not supposed to be out in the open. There isn't a big difference in file size between the previous installer (0.9.0.1) and this installer (0.9.0.2). The task manager is supposed to have gotten an overhaul and many other things too. I haven't installed it yet though.

Can you post a link to the firmware?

There is no link. I have it myself. It was quickly taken down.

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsOf course we want it! Have you installed it yet? I read that many programs cannot run with this new version (they have probably updated the SDK). I'd give it a try anyway

No I haven't installed it. I will install it now in a minute. I have too many programs and other changes to back up before I install it, in case I wanna revert back

Waiting anxiously for a report
Any speculations on when the official release is?

Just installed it. Nothing much seems to be changed. I will play around with it for a while. By the looks of the new task manager, it does seem like the mui files will have changed. I edited my task manager mui file before to show different text than what was preloaded.
Here are 2 pictures of my task manager;
running the music player

about to exit the music player

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsNice! Do you feel the UI is faster and smoother than the previous versions?
Oh and please upload it somewhere! Thanks!

I am currently downgrading to 0.9.0.1
I don't see anything different apart from the task manager. Some of my favourite apps don't work at the moment and that is why I am downgrading.
UI seemed the same to be honest. I have a feeling this will be like the last time. When the 0.8.0.5 was leaked and then the 0.9.0.1 was OFFICIALLY released with much more fixed and added. Today is the last day of Chinese New Year/Spring Festival, so they may have been trying to get something out in time for this. I don't know. Where do you want me to upload it to?

Thanked 91 Times in 32 Postsnew version mainly improvement on camera funtion. Also new version will support online FLV、WMV and MP4 video playing, i think that will giving as to watch online youtube video.
other improvement like GSM signal, Chinese writing input, solve early firmware bugs, further improvement on sound quality, UI responsive, etc ... also MSN maybe will built-in to firmware.
this version will highly become v1.0.0.0 expected release 1~2 days time, highly possible by today.Last edited by waja2000; 02-13-2009 at 01:20 AM.
