are you kidding.. where is this 0.9.0.1 came from? Meizu site firmware available are only New firmware ver0.9.0.0 for M8 (Chinese version)
New firmware ver0.8.0.1 for M8 (Chinese version)
maybe you've mistakenly see the 0.8.0.1 as 0.9.0.1.

Someone who's downloaded the 20:00 version, please upload to Rapidshare or Box.net...
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

what do you mean the 20:00 version? were there 2 different versions of 0.9.0.1 put up? or are you just going by the time instead of the version?

Yeah, they released it and then changed it again. Confusing, I know.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsNo, the phone will revert back to Chinese and all hell will break loose!
First back up all your contacts and remember any settings that you may wish to recreate, because you will loose all the personalizations you have made to the phone if and when you update a firmware.
If you already have fw 0.9.0.0 then you have backup facility in the phone itself, if you have 0.8.x.x then you need to remember the way everything is on your phone - you would be wise to spend some time in the 'settings' folder...
While you are in 'Settings' go to 'more' settings - from the bottom of the screen, the third option is language click it... simple.
When you update the fw then everything will be in chinese, but it is not so hard to remember where the language option is... just navigate there by memory, press 'English' and restart your phone and you will have your english interface back.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsOK thank you. I was a little bit worried to do it, but everything went well.
You are right about the language option location, and I would advise anybody to localize well where this option is, because the navigation in Chinese is not so easy.
I backed up my contacts. However, all my SMS were deleted. I have no idea if in the future this will be avoided or if the new backup functions avoids that.
