M8 Firmware 0.9.0.0

Here comes the highly anticipated 0.9.0.0, straight from version 0.8.0.3 (if the unofficial 0.8.0.4 firmware is to be disregarded).

This is a big release with a lot of new features/improvements.

Changelog

1. Calendar now syncs with Outlook
2. USB charging option added in Settings
3. Backup now supports calendar, SMS, call records, alarms as opposed to only contacts
4. Fade-out option added to music player
5. Automatic stop option added to music player (might be auto detection of headphone jack removal??)
6. Playlists can be launched from the Music tab
7. CUE files can now be opened from the browser
8. Copy & paste function added
9. Screenshot function added
10. Added vibration when line is connected
11. Fixed a bug with the alarm clock and snooze mode
12. Video player now supports switching between files
13. Camera digital zoom function added
14. Adjustment of bundled ringtones (??)
15. E-book App now supports page flipping
16. SIM card battery leak issue fixed
16. 15 second restriction for ringtones in locked mode removed

for 12 i think that means is not yours. i think the mean is can swtich audio stream in a video.but i have no m8.can you try?

thanks, but its even worse for me. i guess the Hungary-China connection is too poor for faster download now im downloading at 3kb/s :D will get it in the evening

I can confirm you can now switch between audio streams in videos Works great.
Now please add subtitle support too

My phone after new fw and syncing with outlook has become EXTREMLEY SLOW, especially while opening calendar... though i can confirm calendar entries do sync

They also added a USB Charge button which is something i specifically pointed out in my bugs list, will check other items and let you know.

what do you mean usb charge button? i could already charge through usb on 0.8.0.3

there are new setting options on both pages of settings too. im not liking the copy paste bubble though

For making screenshots you have to push the M and the power button at the same time. You can find the image files in Camera Album folder.

What anxiousone means is that they've added the option to NOT charge the device when you plug it in to your computer via usb. Some people like this option because the battery may already be full or if your using your laptop away from a power source you may not want to empty your laptop battery into your phone. I'm sure there are other reasons too, but these are the only ones I can think of for now.

Camera is much better with this firmware under low light conditions. No more of those blurry shots.
