I'm a little bit confused which one is the "best" for me

I thought I should take the 0.9.2.7 because the apps pack of LVL was testet with this.

I want a stable version, to start with my M8...

Am I right with this choise?

Another stupid question: I only see 3 sets of button on my M8SE phone, the On/Off button, M button and volume control.

    Which is the play button?

i answered my own question, the play button is referring to the volume up button + power button (on/off)

as it´s said. The play button is one the right side (as the volume buttons are on the left side).
Turn your m8 at 45° from right to left, then you can see the button

M8SE has one button less; no play/music button!

To correctly update firmware on the M8SE, you need to press the POWER BUTTON and the "+" Volume Button to enter the firmware update mode.

The root folder is the main/first folder of your M8. You can see it in Windows Explorer like this:

    Hi,
I've never updated my firmware so I'm a bit worried about the things I'll loose after an update. Should I list all the apps I have or they will still work after ?

I'm going to upgrade my M8SE 8G from fw 0.9.8.6 to 0.9.9.17 and I wonder since which firmware apps are backed up ? especially does mine will ? Oh, and by backup you mean settings, no ?

Thanks in advance for the answers

Let's write it another way :

Is my 0.9.8.6 firmware any of the newer versions of firmware (so it would back up everything) ?

i guess you are asking how you can update the firmware of your M8 without using a USB cable?

Try to install a FTP server on the M8,
then copy the xip.bin into the /Disk folder via FTP.
