Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsProblems with my M8
I recently bought an M8 from Ebay, i have the 9.9.95 firmware, and i tried intalling android loads fo times, diferent roms, and it always goes to the same problem, it works one time and as soon as i re start the phone and use adroid again it says android firmware corrupt, and it blocks the phone.
I never had as Android before or worked with a meizu before, so if the someone could guide me through what to do i would appreciate it, i just want to have android and my phone fully working, i dont really care about the meizu system being in my phone or not, because my intentions are to use adroid.
If someone could help me it would be really appreciated.
thank you

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYes i tried different ones, just to make sure it wasnt because of the rom's. I downgraded the firmware to the meizu official 9.9.23 and that problems seems to have disapeared. Now the problem seems to be my network card, its never recognized. Are Meizus bloqued to specific networks?? Do i just have to config the phone?

Thanked 7 Times in 6 PostsRemove your pin in Meizu OS and then you woun´t have problem with network...and about that problem with android, try Honda racer release, i think best is that 0.9.9.95 clocked at 800mhz...but I still do not undarstand, you want Android but you bought Meizu M8 that is not built for Android, there are no drivers for it, only developer version that is not any more in progres...why you bought it? If you will have som time problem, set time in Android OS to casablanca and it should be okay. Find Honda racer thread and there you will find everything you need.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThe android sistem is working perfectly now, as soon as i downgraded my firmware to the 9.9.23. It was probably because the 9.9.95 firmware i had on my phone was corrupted (since it came with the phone from its previous owner). So that its sorted. About my network problem, i know its probably a stupid question but, how do i remove my pin in the meizu os?
I bought this phone, because i wanted to try an Iclone, that actually had the hardware to compete with the iphone, because i like iphone products, because of their quality and their simplicity, but i dont agree with the way apple is a closed company, in the sense that their system is very closed ( you can only do what they want you to do, they dont give you the option of creating, programing, basically adjust it and change everything). on the other side of things, you have windows, and android, that even though they try to protect themselves you can do alot more things with it. I dont know if im explaining myself very well, but because of this i wanted to try something that was as good as an iphone in theory but wasnt really an iphone and worked with a different system.

Thanked 24 Times in 15 PostsNo worries, we (I) understand what you mean
Well I have my M8 since 2 and a half years (probably going to sell it to my girlfriend's sister though) and never had quality issues, although there have been a few in this forum reporting faulty LCDs. Its still running well =)
The only problem is: Android for M8 isn´t perfect because Meizu did not release 2 drivers, namely Bluetooth and Camera. If you can live without that (and with the huge batteryconsumption all Androidphones suffer from) then the M8 is a great device
By the way: I used the 0.9.9.95 with HR3 and everything was fine. Try re-downloading the firmware incase its data is corrupted.LG Optimus Speed

Android = a Linux Kernel
Meizu MMobile = Windows CE
