Will meizu m8 1.0 firmware ever be released?

I think I read around here that the M9 will use the same firmware as the M8, with the exception of some modifications made due to having different hardware (or something like that). If that's true, wouldn't that mean that there would be an Android firmware for the M8 available with the release of the M9?

OK, I just re-read that topic and I realize that was before it was announced that the M9 would use Android... so please ignore my previous post. lol

In my crystal ball I see neither M9 nor M8 with a genuine functioning android firmware. These phones are intentionally not designed for US or European market and there is no easy way to customize the actual firmware to country-specific requirements as language and keyboard layout. It's a pity, but Meizu seems to produce for its domestic market only.

Well, In a forum I saw a post in June of 2010 where the admin said that the release of the 1.0 Firmware will be in less than 2 Weeks.

I mean, they made already beta releases. It worked 50%. How could somebody begin a work and doesn't finish it?
Does anybody of you has contact to insiders? It would be nice if somebody could give us clarity.

There's nothing wrong with the current 9.9.23 firmware, it's very stable. What is everyone expecting from a version 1.0 firmware, anyway? It's not like they would completely re-do it like when the new UI was released or that they would add like a million new features or anything... so what is so important about a version 1.0?

It says that it will support windows mobile apps. So in my eyes it is a revolution.
Also they want to translate software and hardware better so that it would be faster and and and.

I don't think the M8 is in development right now...
I guess that 0.9.9.23 would be the last firmware.

Well, but they made already a beta version. The Interface was up to complete. In Europe we know an other working morale
