What has been fixed since old UI?

I just got my phone back from China for screen reparation, however I have not used it the last 6 months, so I am not up to date on the current bugs and features. Rather than reading through hundreds of pages of release news, I hoped you could sum up the recent highlights here.

Did they fix the SMS bug? -> Not receiving all messages and some messages unreadable with ??????? and chinese letters.

Has the power consumption (ie. battery life) gone down?

International keyboard? -> Danish/French etc.


Any other improvements/bugfixes?

Basically, is the M8 finally usable as a phone as of now?

No official, I use Swype and it works great!

The latest firmware 0.9.9.16 is very good, low power consumption, no SMS bugs when you turn Delivery Report off. Use the latest International Keyboard from Greckoe, and localize your phone with my program MyLang

Nice summing up. I'd say the m8 is a lot more usable now. With apps for grps backup, some good international support packages and meizu's tweaks it has more or less reached the "golden level".
Some problems are still around if you ask round the forum but mostly its good.

i think the sms differs a lot from person to person
for me i had the delivery report always switched ON even in the old ui fw and all sms were delivered
