Compared to the Old UI camera ability, the new camera sucks at taking pictures. Is there anyway we could replace the Camera application with an older version that works well at taking CLEAR and CLEAN pictures? Thanks

M8's camera (application) is only usable for still images and perfect light conditions. If you are in an everday situation, like in a room with half daylight and half artificial light, and want to take a snapshot of some people who are moving normally, you get very unsharp pictures. I somehow doubt that this is a hardware problem.
Hopefully this will change with the next "big" fw (Android ?)BatMan, the free video converter for Meizu players. Problems ? English First Aid here. Deutsche Erste Hilfe hier.

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsPatrickmeizume helped with the camera firmware, i think.
He told me that because of Meizu's crappy photo program, we get crappy pictures.
So, basically, he told me that it was a software problem...
I even doubt if Android will come to the M8.
I emailed 'Ramon' @ Meizu, and asked for the status on Android for the M8.
This is what i got.
Dear LVL,
How are you!
M8(SE) OS is Mmobile developed by Meizu based on WinCE 6.0. We have no plan to apply Android to it so far.
M9 is under development now, based on Android platform.

So i really doubt if Android will ever come to the M8

LVL i preach since weeks that Android for M8 is a rumour but nobody wants to hear it.
Why should Meizu do it? It is totally stupid.

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsWith the M9 coming out in October 2029, i could have earned myself money to create my own phone

So with no Android coming to the M8, I have nothing to look forward to. My vacation starts in a few weeks. I will earn some money to get myself a HTC Desire or something like that.
Something WITH international support.
And crimson05, I really do not get why I did not saw your post. (About the M8 not getting Android)
I must have been to excited, for nothing

Thanked 7 Times in 3 PostsHey, wasnt the whole "android for m8" just supposed to be a leak anyway?
The way i thought it to be was that android would launch with m9 but was likely to be leaked and tested at bit on the m8, but nothing official..

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Postsyou are right on that one.
M8 is fun, but.. somehow deep in me I know my next phone will need some decent & working features & local support.
So devices as EVO 4G & other might cost some more, but are a better choice.
Indeed, and now it seems you are right.i preach since weeks that Android for M8 is a rumour
actually it sounded stupid from the beginning, somewhere in the forum i noticed that this would be dangerous cause:as likely to be leaked and tested at bit on the m8
* or you eliminate Wince (and could kill your phone)
* or you would need to implement a dualbootloader (but why spend money in this for nothing?)
anyway it was all of topic, sorry :-)
