All in one prepacked firmware... Exists?

Hello All!!

Ok, I must admit, I LOVE my meizuM8 especially since its NOT an iphone! but, I am completely bad at the whole putting new apps and the such on my new phone. Is there a new FW pack, so to speak, that doesnt deplete my batt in 20mins (example) and has a lot of pre-installed apps on it? Then i can just delete the ones i dont want and keep the ones that work and I want...

I think I read that there are some Russian ones like that, but I have no idea how to install them or if they have an english/chinese interface which something I would need since I live in China!

Hi and welcome to MeizuMe ! First install the latest FW, then take a look here.

Well, to be hones BobbyQ, my app package is a little outdated. But i think that everything still works OK.
I updated the first post a little.
Make sure you install wceload, else the mortscript won't be able to install anything...

thanks guys, but i am a lil afraid to go into the new firmware because i cant seem to back up my phone numbers and notes and messages... Is there a way to do this? ActiveSync is USELESS!!

How can I make a Backup of my Phone?

Not if you have Outlook on your PC. I synch contacts and calendar.

outlook syncing doesn't work anymore but you can make backups

Still works for me!

Of course, I'm still using FW 0.9.3.9 from the old UI.

I'm seeing too many negative posts on the new UI to move to it.

I did give him full information by saying it worked for me on 9.3.9.

If sync won't work with Outlook with the new UI then I won't be using it. I need my phone to work with Outlook and that is the main reason I bought a Windows software phone.

I thought this was relevant to the thread since sync was a key issue.
