    Roaming always on

    Hi,

Does anybody know, if the "Global Roaming" setting in "GRPS" menu is off,
the roaming feature is really off in firmware above 9.7.1?

My M8 still makes roaming in other networks, if this feature is set to off
That's bad, if you live near other country and you have to pay the roaming costs..

    greets,
    Beda

    1. i hope you mean 0.9.8.22
    2. that is only a feature for gprs, if you want your phone to use only one network don't use auto search in carrier settings

    Thanks for your replies!

    @crimson05:
I have noticed your suggestion for 0.9.8.22, I will try asap.
In the carrier settings auto search is off, only my provider is selected.

Well, i heard 0.9.8.22 has some battery drain problems, so i would advice 0.9.8.6...
Meizu's latest official firmware is not always the best...

    Hi LVL,

thanks for you info - I notice 0.9.8.6, because I can't need battery drain problems.

May you also have an advice for my open gprs-channel question with title
    • "SIM auto reconnect to mobile provider / only one GPRS-channel for calling?" (forum says no for links, because I have less than 15messages)
I miss this feature from my old phones, which signals me, if I get a new second call when I am at calling.

I have been 'misinformed' about the battery drain problem.(I guess it was my mistake )
It seems to be the same on the 0.9.8.22 firmware, so please install that firmware. (bugs are fixed, faster etc.)

I have updated to 0.9.8.22 now.

It seems to have the same problem, if the phone loses the connection to my provider, it does not automatically reconnect to my provider again. So I have to input the pin-code again - but this is only sometimes, maybe it could be my sim-card, which I want to replace in future (for more simcontacts on simcard )

I still have to test the roaming feature, if the phone takes another provider - I will post again, if I have tested it.

    Hi again,

I have tested the roaming feature today and I can say, that it works perfect. The phone doesn't choose another provider expect my one
