Update Log:

1) Reduce firmware capacity from taking out some un-useful data from existing firmware

I upgraded to the new version from 0.9.8.6 about 3 hours ago. One (very) short phone call, listened to one song and read one sms and that's about it and battery has dropped from 99% to 70%. Not overly impressed with the power consumption.

All the backups worked fine (M8Sprite etc working from the backup).
Can't see anything not working as yet.

Battery was pretty dead when I loaded this FW, so only just finished recharging now. Hopefully it is better than the last Russian FW (N416), as that one was pretty bad (24 hours full charge, 1-2 calls, basically not used and without gprs/wifi/bluetooth on).

Only thing I hate with each fw update, is I have to manually keep typing in registry settings for gprs/mms.

Works okay on my M8SE? and calender syncs ok, contacts appear to sync 'says sycronising contacts' but doesn't copy any over?

hello a little help here i just updated my m8 from the last official fw to this one but i cant restore my calendar or desktop settings from my back up heeeelllllllllp i really need the calendar

working well this FW, but the Energy Drain are very fast

i am a new M8 User.. just tryin out al the functions on the phone.. well the manual in chinese is giving me a headache.. is there anywhere from where i can get amn english manual.. was thinkin abt updatin the firmware (0.9.3.18) which is old i guess..

Is this firmware in english?

nope engl. manual, but all FW are english and we have a good FAQ here:

How can I change the language on the M8?
upgrade to this new fw, it is worth upgrading

there is more than 20 BUGs in this Firmware.most people in bbs.meizu.com had test the BUG.
