This firmware has no use unless you're Russian.

Yes, it seems the russian M8 owners are in contact with Meizu engineers to correct some things so they can use every functions of the phone perfectly.

Changelog:

- Fixed contacts SIM-card (you can now copy the Russian-speaking contacts with sim-ing to the phone and vice versa)
- Practically fixed function of sending / receiving MMS (work operators MegaFon and MTS, the operator Beeline operates until partially).

it's good for all of us when Meizu fixes the russian-related issues because that will include proper unicode support.

Exactly. I hope they get the email app fixed because it's annoying to see all those chinese characters all over emails. Most of the times they are unreadable.

The one thing I have noticed is the fixed with USB connection with your computer. Speed moving close to USB 2.1.
Also, when plug phone to any computer you would get the device error message I believe it's good now. Using

is that f.w stable ? and is it like the previous hondaracer leak where english is the default language of the phone ?

NO, you must set after installation to English..but I think this is not terrible..

In the last three FWs I have a freeze of the mail application. The phone starts downloading the new messages but then it freezes. The mail application does not close and I have to restart the phone to close the mail application. Is there anyone else who has the same problem?
Do you know a solution to this problem?

MY e_mails settings all correct for gmail but there not work by me

just update to this leak fw , wow ... powerfull sound quality is back .... now music quality is best ever .... external speaker louder than before... and not broken sound from speaker ...wow .!!

I have just installed it. My first new UI firmware.

First impressions :
- No more SMS icon on the desktop
- No more choice of the call background
- The sliding effect between the desktop isn't very smooth
- The keyboard doesn't remain in english
- Ugly effect (from my point of view) when you press the M button
- No more returning on the 1st desktop by pressing the M button
- Delivery report (I don't know if it's really work for the moment)
- Auto-recording call
- Choice to enable/disable vibration when someone answer to your call


I'm still testing it

you have the sms icon on every screen
who needs a callbackground?
sliding is very smooth in my opinion
keyboard remains in english if you go to settings-->systhem-->languarge an only enable english (en=eng)
the first screen is for widgets
the delivery reports works for me

GPRS seem to be working for me. I'm on SFR and it's the first time it works for me

So far it seems to be the best firmware for me.

Anyone succeed send/receive emails with this firmware ?

Just a little more crap :

-Call history, you can have all calls, missed calls but not just call I have done or call I received.

-MMS : I tried to send a picture from the camera album. I just have the first picture which has a preview.

-No more preview for SMS that's a fu***** shame

btw, anyone else noticed the fast battery drain? My battery is just working for about 1 1/2 days.

Same thing for me. I used a lot GPRS to try to have my mails I think it's because of that

Battery life = 25% left since 1 day

Brightness --> 0% with ambiant light sensor enable.

The firmware 0.9.6.41 is all Messed up! Man the phone turns off for no reason, gprs turns off by itself and I believe sms and mms has been working half the time. No wonder people have not been texting me back. It worked ok for a while or I just never really never noticed. I thank I will look at what one was working which I think is the Russian one and put it back on, wow I have never had this phone do any of the weird things it's been doing.

This makes me want to save up $600 bucks fast.

have had the same issue w/ gprs turning off...browsing, rss, weather impacted...but it will reconnect when I attempt phone/sms.
