[Official] FW 0.9.6.9 - 06.02.2010 (w/ New UI)

yeah right, battery drain really fast, i damn you new UI Joke, i'm still happy with the fw, but my email problem that sucks.........waiting for a newer FW that solves that.

tldr;
i rly hoped for an imporvement of the ebook reader.
haven't tried the new fw, but i don't think they've changed sonething about the display issues of special characters (heck, even english texts aren't display correctly by the old fw...)
can anybody report on this?

this morning minioneshell crashed and said it had to shutdown

after rebooting, I couldn't even start anymore

i have the clock widget on the desktop displaying the time & i put 2 cities on it

my phone now switches itself off , and a lot of the times all seems normal until i try to make a call and i cant , have to restart a lot. restart also freezes so battery has to be taken out all the time.

meizu have taken a step back and now the m8 is on par with lower model touchscreen phones on the market. the LG pop looks better and costs half the price

did somebody get a bluetooth GPS receiver working with new UI?
I used iGo and the btcom-app in old UI and it was working all good. i didn't expect it working in the leak-fw's but it should work in the official one?

When i use the "old" bt-com tool it looks like it doesn't find any device, when i use the new app it says "serial port 8 successfully created" but iGo still says no gps device found (on all ports).

any hints?

use mortscript to start bt-com and igo8 at the same time

btw: for me the old bt-com is working

the sound of the phone (music, button sounds, blahblah.) doesnt work, so i need to restart to get it back. am i only the one?

I have the same problem. It's because off the games. You'll get that problem,when you turn the game's sounds in their settings off.
I have it since the last official fw with the old ui^^

i dont have any games, or something.. so its resolves with restarting?

what is it...a joke? Give us a bit more information!

Are you able to activate it? Is your router shown? Have you set the correct key? Is your M8 allowed to connect to your router?

Sorry my bad,
it says it connects to it and its alowd to connect to my router, it comes up with the connection bars at the top of the screen. it is the correct key, ive checked Ip Address, etc and is all correct.
but i try to go on to the browser and it says there is an Error and it cant locate the remote server.

is your firmware still "original" or have you installed any custom dlls or something like that? maybe a custom browser?
normally the wifi works without any problems...especially on that fw-version. the only thing i have in mind is the correct key!
have your tried an other website or an other application like mail / mbarmaps etc?

if nothing works or helps...try a registry reset and install the fw again

all i have done is upgrade it to the 0.9.6.9. i haven't put anything else on it, no games no apps not even themes. it is the original browser that came with the firmware.
no i haven't really tried the email bcuz i havent set it up. but i will keep trying the key.
if it doesn't work soon shall i try re-installing the firmware??

would be the first thing that i would try! don´t forget to reset your registry before upgrading the firmware!!

Reset: POWER+M button

probably a bit of a newbish question, but wat does that do? or stop it from doing??
i did it the first time i just dont get what it is.

it "deletes" all your custom settings and your installed apps etc.
it just resets your phone...

funny thing...but you don´t have to thank for every answer...just give one "thank" for one who helps you... ;-)
