M8 Firmware (New UI) - Jan 29.

Good the old kb is back, i always liked.
The new-ui kb was a little crappy, good it came back.

can someone show me the differences between old and new kb ? ?

Internet is running without a problem, so connection to I-net is not the problem, any hint for me?

Did it work with with the official Firmware? If yes, then make a backup of your email config an restore it with the new firmware....perhaps it works for you.

if wlan and gprs are both simultaneously active then:
- gmail sends/receives successfully
- work email gets "update failed" error
if wlan is active and gprs is inactive then:
- gmail works
- work config works
if wlan is inactive and gprs is active then:
- gmail works
- work config works

I appreciate in this FW the ability to see the small-sized images of my wallpapers when I browse them. I have a directory containing more than 100, and until now with the official FW (old UI) it was impossible to see the small image, it was necessary to clic each one... good improvement for me.

and by the way, the date is in english, but not on the clock widget.

those of you who are familiar with "power management beta1" (im not) i just opend the program today and the only things i have with "High" besides them are bkl1/com7/com9/nds0/pwr1 all the other stuff are set on low ... is that normal ?

im asking to see if it has anything to do with my sms problems

could u plz show me whats your setting for ur gmail account. i'v imported my old ui settings, but my gmail never work(used to work in old ui), always "updated failed" no matter what connection/s is/are active. thanks alot

they are working very hard to release new everyday!

It is TRUE Non-english characters (russian, for example) does not work in this firmware. It is very, very, very bad! Chinese...

Another thing is the battery life time. It seems that battery is faster empty then with the last official FW.

try to send yourself an email and then click update

then it works for me^^

I always get "Update fail" too with wifi...same settings, and POP is enabled in gmail too.

i have upgrade to this new Firmware and have a problem.
I synchronize it with outlook but my contacts not save on my phone???
What should i do????? I did synchronize 2 times and there is still no contacts on my phone???? Can somebody help? What should i do???

is a well known problem with the leak. Best will be to make a downgrade to the last official FW, synchronize with your outlook and then make a backup with the Backup function of your M8.
Then reinstall the leak and load your backup. Thats the way I made it.
