M8 New UI FW - Nov 19. (beta)

New firmware released by JW, coming soon!

Changelog:

- Software Version is 0.9.5.107
- screen will now light up when you receive a new SMS!
- USB icon will be displayed in the taskbar when connected to PC
- pressing and holding the M button will open the Task Manager (thanks a62369202!)
- available memory is displayed in the middle of the taskbar (probably temporary)
- Recorder app NOT working!
- Alarm clock works, but not with restored alarms! You have to add a new one!
- if you select text and press the backspace button it will all disappear (finally!) will be much easier to delete text
- videos have thumbnails now
- video player's controls will now fade in and out nicely
- settings > system menu has descriptions of each setting
- SMS receipt said to be working now, I haven't tried it myself
- camera has white buttons now, and a rounded rectangle shaped viewfinder (not visible on the picture) / when you focus the rectangle will be blue

I wrote "alarm clock not working properly" but I found if you add a new one it will work fine!

Also the Themes menu is now working except when I chose "Meizu Classic" this happened with my desktop: So maybe it's better if you save yourself from all the trouble

One more thing: I think they tried to correct the wrong word breaking in SMS, but now a few characters can't be read on the right side of the screen (1,5 characters are missing there):

For me, except from the english translation, everything is fine. It seems that the whole system is way faster than in 0.9.5.101. I can send SMS - receive SMS - same with calls - loading SIM-Contacts is working - Backup was no problem - Pictures load much faster (but it gave me a E-Message said, that i cannot watch pictures in Mass Store Mode even the Phone was not connected to anything.

The only annoying thing is, that i have to restore my GPRS-Settings everytime I flash the FW.

Can anyone please test if you can send 3+ sms and that the person receives that sms as 1 and not 3+ or as a broken sms.

#$%^& I had a big problem in that I tried to go down on old UI fw, and re-upgraded to new UI fw. I ended with Sprite no longer giving me wifi/edge crack option. I tried resetting to factory format without success and somehow pressed the reformat disk button ... ending with NO backup this time. All my sms and contacts lost (pictures/videos I don't mind so much, s/w I can waste another day re-downloading and installing) for good. I'm gonna cry. BTW pictures had no settings and seemed to have a reddish hue. You could delete pictures.

I have no idea if this can help you, but you might try!
Lost contacts after recovery

ah... god dammit!

Forgot to turn PIN off... Any ideas? Are there nothing I can do on this phone to fix it?
