Meizu M8 FW Version 0.9.3.8 official

Performed updagrade from 0937 to 0938 yesterday, show some speed improvements as mentioned earlier.
Alarm works fine, Wifi is way faster!
especially finding new networks and connecting to them. browserspeed has increased, so no additional patch required.
will update later once i have tested more.

Backups made in 0937 and restored in 0938, worked flawless!!!

For me 0.9.3.8 IS THE BEST FIRWARE!

Now I Have to Try MMS, for now I can't recieve MMS with Vodafone Italy.

Hi.. sorry but new to all this,
never updated my phone before.. and i got my phone in july. My firmware is 0.9.2.7, can it update straight to this firmware?
And would i have to reinstall all my apps, themes etc?

It's been a long time since i updated the FW on my phone.
So, i just wonder if the phone-numbers problem is still there? Do i still need to save my number twice in the memory?

Always backup your system, if you have m8sprite you can backup wallpaper, sounds backlight. In settings, system (Data backup), Search for more info on threads about backing up.

...or use MS OUTLOOK and don´t think about loosing contacts or numbers...

Hi, unfortunatelly I cannot agree with many of another postings!
I made an upgrade from the version 0.9.3.7 to 0.9.3.8 and for me this new version is not better then the old one!
All old base problem are not soolved and with this firmware version we get some new bugs in addition!
For example:
1. When I switch USB to ActiveSynch and I make a restart of the phone, my connected computer says "USB unknown"! I have to disconnect and connect the cable, after that it runs!
With the old version I haven't do that!
2. MMS sending and receiving don't work! It is 100% so, my settings are correct, I work in the mobile phone sphere! The phone is sending out a MMS, but the receiver don't receive nothing and also the phone receives a part from the MMS, but without picture for example!
3. When I activate call forwarding, the phone don't shows the forwarded number, so I'll never know, forwarding is activated or not!

I could write further more than 10 such basic bugs, but it is without effect!
I also wrote all these bugs to MEiZU, but whether they don't understand nothing from telephone functions or they only ignored it!

I personally think, a telephone should mainly have all basic telephone functions without bugs! Only after that should be integrate entertainment functions for fun!

Ok, another phones from Apple, Nokia or Samsung are more expensive, but they have not such basic bugs!
It is the reason of such kind of development, that all world only smile to chinese products!

your right, untill you posted your comments, i thought it was my work laptop showing issues, and i was blaming my IT department lol
thus, I see now this is a new bug in new FW, whilst it was ok in the former WF.
I have an M8SE received preinstalled with 0.9.3.7 and upgraded to 0.9.3.8
there are some improvements with regards to speed, you cannot deny it.

I agree with you, that once something is fixed in a FW version, this should at least stay the same or improve ....

Your comment on the chinese stuf, hmmm, I knew this upfront, but I love the forum and really enjoy seeing my gadget to become better and better, and sometimes a little worse....lol

Anyway, it's a great phone, if you like to follow realtime development and can try new FW's as you go.

Currently 0.9.3.7 is quite good, so you can always revert to that one...

I'm hoping for a new FW with the new UI where at least the majority of the functions work, untill than, I'll stick to 3.7 or 3.8.
I noticed 0939 is also out, maybe try that one, and USB issue has been fixed again.

don't be to hard on this need gadget which allows you to fully change every aspect of it!

The keyboard is ZTA4SIP.

Everything is great with this upgrade except I am still unable to receive MMS messages. I guess that is the one thing that I will continue to have to wait for. I have T-mobile US

so i cant use the i-net via WIFI...
