Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostThere seems to be chinese handwritten character recognition built into the new UI 9.8.6. if, on the keyboard, you select CN and then hold it down, choose the 3rd option a window will appear where you can write characters (but you must be quick!).
There is a new chinese input method availiable which works well it can be found by navigating m8fans with google translate and looking under software>system tools>input methods
it is called新UI完美切换点讯_100425 The new UI perfect switching point information _100425
and at the moment can be found on the most downloaded part.
It is possible to integrate it with the gestures application to switch between inputs (also a new chinese one available) using the old english translated files seems to work too (the ones you copy to the M8RTM folder).
So you can switch between the M8 native imput method and the new one, and one called penpower which is a little small and hard to use.
