[PlutoWare] [10/12 update] PlutoWeather v0.1.0.0 weather-based software, Google Weath

I don't know if it has been posted yet, but i think it is a very good weahter application!

When you choose another location (for example germany) the language turns into english...

there aren't all cities to choose, but when you go to the folder
"disk\PlutoWare\PlutoWeather\config"
you can change the "settings.ini" to the city you want....

Yeah, I waitet for this App a long time, looks great,

work with FW 9.2.7.

i tested, i want upload some sreenshot but i become an Error-Message.

how can I change the settings.ini to city wich I need, for example "Würzburg"? But a very cool app!!!!!!!

wow, finally a weaher app that works!
..and it is really strange , install, run and it worx! I could get used to it

I think you must edit the Germany.XML file, found in Disk/Programs/Plutoware/PlutoWeather/data/de_DE/_cities/Germany.XML

I think you can input your town you need only the coordinate from your City.

As i like plutopdf, i also like this one.
Indeed one of the few apps that runs without any problem.

thanks forty, it did it, but when I type my city it comes "Can not get any weather infoirmation, please refresh again".
I got my coordinates from google maps and got these results: 49.48998450694659, 9.773025512695312
(coordinates from "Bad Mergentheim")
Whats my fault?
(I typed these numbers with and without point, but I get the same error)

Ok,

to add new citys, you must edit the XML-file.You find the xml-file in following folder: "Disk\Programs\PlutoWare\PlutoWeather\data\de_DE(This folder is for Germany,i think for other countries gives different folder, choose your language-folder)\_cities"

in the folder /_cities/ is the xml-file Germany.XML

take texteditor or other editors you want, i think is possible with every texteditor.

Here is a Example for Germany Würzburg:

<city><name data="Wuerzburg"/><latitude_e6 data="49770000"/><longitude_e6 data="9970000"/></city>

This is one line, put it in your xml-file, the bold text you must change to your city and coordinates you found on underworld-weather.

He can´t understand Ü, ü, Ä, ä, Ö, ö. ß<- i don´t know.

How become Coordinates for your Citiy??

Background:

The app loads the weather-data from Googel-Weather. Google becomes the data from: Welcome to Weather Underground : Weather Underground

1. Go to Germany : Weather Underground (this is for germany) this is a list of all aviable citys with weatherstation.

2. Click to your city.

3. you see your city. Example Würzburg: Wuerzburg, Germany Forecast : Weather Underground

You see following text:
Würzburg, Deutschland

Add to My Favoriten
- Ortszeit: 20:43 CEST (GMT +02) — Meine Zeitzone einstellen Lat/Lon: 49.8° N 10.0° E (Google Map)

On the right site there is a link (Google Map), follow the link an google maps is opening in your browser. you can see this: 49.77000046,9.97000027 - Google Maps

4. In the search field from Google-Maps you see following text:

49.77000046,9.97000027 <-This is your coordinate.

The first 49.77000046 is latitude
the second 9.97000027 is longitude

You must erase the points and the last digits, you need 8 character max. (I see in the xml file there are citys with 7 character too)

I think is only possible for citys there are listed by Weather underground. I don´t know.

I CANT UPLOAD IMAGES IN MY POST, I BECOME EVERY TIME A ERROR-MESSAGE. THE PHOTO SIZE IS CORRECT, THE FILE SIZE IS CORRECT.

btw: become = werden so dont ask a waiter in a restaurant if you can become the Beafsteak. Ask him if you can get a Beafsteak.

Hi,

this are your coordinates: 49492500 97736110

Put this in your XML:

<city><name data="Bad Mergentheim"/><latitude_e6 data="49492500"/><longitude_e6 data="97736110"/></city>

this coordiantes are from weather underground when you are searching your city in the search field. (49.49250031,9.77361107 - Google Maps)
i tested and works.

The only problem is, when you have a long City name you cant see all the text from your city.

Probably Fahrenheit not Celsius...

the icon on the desktop shows the name leipzig and 6°(what could be right). but the whole programm and icon is still in chinese

you dont have to edtit sth cause Leipzig is allready in the list :-)
Go on the first screen on the gearwheel and select: germany-->Leipzig

if i click on the steering wheele there are only chinese signs

only the current day is correct. the other days doesnt work.

scrolling on cities could be a bit faster though...

Got it to work but the current temperature in in C while the forecasted temperatures are in F.

its very good, i couldnt get moweather to work for some reason, it didnt work with my wifi (any tips on how to get it to work???) but as the only working weather app for me, it is also the best weather app for me!
