Currency Converter for M8

Hi

Is there something like a converter for currencies, inches to centimeter, etc, for the M8? Would be rather useful.

Haven't seen one as of yet. I'm sure it wouldn't be to hard!!! If there wqould be enough interest i'm sure someone here would make one.

yeh this would be a very usefull app.
I hope somone can create such a app :-)

@andreim: thanks, can you link the Chinese app, please? I don't speak chinese, so I cannot find it. Maybe somebody could translate it?

That converter does a lot -except- converting currency

I would love to have a currency converter too! Especially if we could make it update the currency while we're using it, so that we don't get totally wrong numbers after a while

If i get the M8 SDK working tomorrow, i will make it my first M8 project to write a currency converter.

After getting used to the limitations of the environment, here is the first version of the currency converter!

In the zip file:
- Executable
- Icon

Add to your M8 desktop via M8 Sprite until i know how to create a cab file

I know, the input fields are way too small... More whishes for a next version?

it´s an extra app....that loads the keyboard.

Uploaded new version with bigger input fields, and a version number (v0.7).

It only updates if an internet connection has been found, on start-up of the application.

In a next version i'll add a update button.

Maybe i found a bug: When i type in 22 € and want to convert it to USD i get 324896,0000 USD. I know, the USD is quite low right now, but this is to low, i think ;-)

It gives me the feeling that it is not buggy, since it is not created with the M8 SDK

This problem will only occur when the system locale settings use the comma as the decimal seperator. So the number should be 32.4896.

I noted this when testing it on my PC as well, my PC at home has got a dutch local setting, on the Smartphone emulator and on my meizu it is no problem.

Standard this separator is a dot on the Meizu, so i guess you are running it on your PC at home and not on your Meizu.

Anyway, in version 1.0 i will have this fixed just to be sure.
