After GPRS

I just configured my GPRS for my M8 but i was wondering if i did it right. I went to the GPRS under settings and made a new setting or whatever and i named it T-mobile and i configured it like this:

Name: T-Mobile
APN: epc.tmobile.com
User Name: (blank)
Password: (blank)
Proxy Server: 216.155.165.050
Port: 8080
Server: http://216.155.174.84/servlet/mms

Then after that a new option popped up saying T-Mobile with all my new configured settings. And im just wondering, did i miss anything? Anything else that i forgot to do? Anything that i did wrong? I tried to select it, but when i try that it just brings up that circular loading icon and it just seems to go on forever. Do i need to do anything else, or is my phone ready to go?

Try the following T-Mobile USA settings. These are working for me. However I have not confirmed mms.

Under Settings/GPRS

APN: wap.voicestream.com
username: Leave Blank
password: Leave Blank
Proxy server: 216.155.165.50
Port: 8080

Under messaging/settings/server settings (message app)

Server: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Proxy IP: 216.155.165.50
Proxy port: 8080
GPRS Connect: wap.voicestream.com
User: Leave Blank
Password: Leave Blank
SMS Center: +12063130004

i heard that voicestream is antiquated and that epc.tmobile.com is much faster, although i have no way to confirm this.

Any thoughts on this?

You know that you have to change the userconnectnode.ini file as it is described in the sticky right? I use all the other settings as you have been able to connect using the above change.

Yes "Kilbanya" you are correct on the APN. I found "epc.tmobile.com" to be much faster and load pages more accurately as well. Thanks for bringing that up!
