Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostTrouble with CAB file
One thing i noticed in common with all the apps is that there is a need to install or run a CAB file. I dont know if im missing something or im doing something wrong but i cant seem to ever find the CAB file to install it. Im running on the 0.9.2.6 firmware, and everytime i download an app file it automatically downloads as a winrar file. Now from here do i extract anything or do i just put the entire winrar file into a directory somewhere, possibly the disk directory or something?
The second problem is, once i downloaded it, whether or not i extracted the files, they never show up on my phone, i cannot fine where the files are located even though im positive the files HAVE been downloaded.
Im so clueless right now, please help! Thank you

hi there...sounds a bit confused...try the following steps:
- if you have found an app, then download the folder to your PC. Create a folder on your Desktop named APP and save them there.
- if the app is in a RAR or ZIP folder then create a new folder and unzip the files into it DESKTOP/APP/NEWFOLDER
- If it is already a CAB file then go ahead with...
1. connect your M8 to your PC and use the USB-DISK option
2. open the disk folder on your M8
3. create an APP folder on your M8
4. copy the CAB file from your PC to this folder / or the NEWFOLDER completely
5. run the CAB file (installing should run automaticly)
6. in case of "normal" files (as they are in your "NEWFOLDER") you should use M8Sprite to create a new Desktop-Icon
7. you´ll have to use an EXE file to create shortcuts...
hope that helps...
